Terena: Monumentos y turismo


		TERENA: Se ubica en la antigua región de Alto Alentejo, en el actual distrito de Évora. La Localidad de Terena fue fundada en el siglo XIII. Fue una localidad clave en la defensa del Guadiana. Entre los principales monumentos, destacaremos el Castelo, la iglesia matriz, la iglesia de la Misericordia y la torre del reloj; también tiene una bonita playa fluvial.		TERENA: It is located in the old region of Alto Alentejo, in the current district of Évora. The locality of Terena was founded at 13 th century. It was a key town in the defence of the Guadiana. Among the main monuments, we will stand out the castle, the mother church, the Misericordia church and the clock tower. Also has a beautiful River Beach.


		TERENA : Los accesos para la localidad de Terena son: Por el Norte puedes acceder desde Alandroal (N-255). Por el Sur puedes acceder desde la localidad de Reguengos de Monsaraz (N-255). Por el Oeste puedes acceder desde Redondo. Además de recorrer el pueblo, no te pierdas el Santuario. 		TERENA: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Aunque se puede aparcar junto al castillo, es mejor aparcar en la zona de la nacional (Rua de Estremoz). El aparcamiento es gratuito.		TERENA: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far. 		TERENA: Los enclaves de Terena se encuentra en el sector E (el Castelo, la iglesia matriz, la iglesia de la Misericordia y la torre del reloj). La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 300 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio de ligera cuesta .		TERENA: The monuments of Terena are located in the East area ( the castle, the mother church, the Misericordia church and the clock tower) . The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 300 m. The visit takes place through a space with light slope.


		TERENA: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona con ligeras cuestas. No hay bordillos en las aceras (centro). Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la torre del Reloj de Terena (escaleras).		TERENA: As for the firm we have (stone roads). The firm is strong and compact. Regarding the unevenness, it is light sloped area. There aren't curbs on the sidewalks (centre). With wheelchair access is not feasible to Terena Clock Tower (stairs).

INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Terena es de estilo gótico. El castillo se doto de una sólida muralla, de sillarejo, conserva las almenas, también dispone de una torre de homenaje de sillería y sillarejo y de una puerta principal de acceso flanqueada por torres.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFO

The Terena castle is Gothic style. The castle was equipped with a solid wall of rubblework masonry, preserves the battlements, and also has a keep tower of ashlar masonry and rubblework masonry and a main access door flanked by towers.
