		MURALLAS DE ELVAS INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA La murallas abaluartadas de Elvas conforman el complejo abaluartado más grande del mundo con un perímetro de más de 10 kilómetros; tuvo un papel clave en la Guerra de Restauración Portuguesa de (1640), que supuso la Independencia de Portugal tras 60 años de dominio español, después tuvo un papel destacado en la lucha contra los franceses en el siglo XIX. XVII, el edificio tiene elementos de estilo manuelino, barroco y rococó.
