EL TOLMO DE MINATEDA (HELLIN)

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Tenemos una puerta fortificada con rodadas de carros, viviendas, escaleras excavadas en la roca, tumbas (muchas excavadas en la roca), y la basílica visigoda.

Cronología básicamente visigoda (s. VI-VIII), pero se han encontrado restos de la Edad del Bronce, de la Edad del Hierro (siglos VII-V), incluso andalusíes (s. X).

ACCESO-ACCESIBILIDAD

Acceso por la A-30 desde Albacete y tras pasar Hellín se encuentra el yacimiento de Minateda, sobre un cerro amesetado.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

We have a fortified gate with signs of wheelcarts, dwellings, staircases carved in the rock, tombs (many dug in the rock), dwellings and the Visigoth basilica.

Chronology Visigothic (6 th – 7 th centuries), but there are remains of the Bronze Age, Iron Age (7 th -5 th centuries BC), including an Andalusi phase (10 th century).

Access by the A-30 from Albacete and after passing Hellín is the site of Minateda, a table-hill of unmistakable profile.

El acueducto de Albatana es una construcción de ingeniería del siglo XVIII, el agua es captada en un manantial del municipio de Tabarra, el acueducto mide 187 m., esta construido en sillería, consta de arcos escarzanos y al parecer el objetivo sería suministrar energía a un molino.

AQUEDUCT (ALBATANA)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The aqueduct of Albatana is an 18 th century engineering building, the water is captured in a spring of the municipality of Tabarra, the aqueduct measures 187 m. (613,36 ft) is built in ashlar masonry, consists of segmental arches and apparently the objective would be to supply energy to a mill.

A Albatana puedes acceder desde Hellín por la A-30 (salida 56), carretera que conecta Albacete y Murcia.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

Con silla de ruedas el acceso es factible llegando con coche al pie del monumento, el terreno es muy irregular.
