RIÓPAR: Riópar se ubica en la comarca de Sierra de Alcaraz, formó parte del marquesado de Villena, pero la localidad formó parte de un proyecto de colonización de tiempos de Carlos III, que dio lugar a las Reales Fábricas de Bronce y Latón de San Juan de Alcaraz, fábrica creada por el ingeniero austriaco Juan Jorge Graubner.

Además en Riópar tenemos la iglesia del espíritu Santo y las ruinas de un castillo de origen andalusí. Riopar tiene bonitas rutas de senderismo y gran interés ornitológico.

Muy cerca se ubica el Nacimiento del Río Mundo que forma parte del Parque Natural de los Calares del Río Mundo y de la Sima, cuando la cascada de agua crea una fuerte caída asistimos al espectáculo conocido como “El Reventón”, que suele coincidir con algún periodo de lluvias muy fuerte.

RIÓPAR: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho.

Hay un parking pequeño junto al Museo y otro junto al rio Mundo (con consejos prácticos incluso sobre el modo de aparcar). El aparcamiento es gratuito.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

RIÓPAR: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far.

There is a small parking next the Museum and other next the Mundo River (with important practical advices even about how to park). Parking is free.

RIÓPAR: Tenemos el Museo Fábricas de San Juan en el centro del pueblo y el famoso Nacimiento del Rio Mundo (en la carretera de Villaverde). Dispone de señalización (Rio Mundo).

Si te gustan los animales una opción es visitar el Centro de Fauna Ibérica CEA La Dehesa, de gran interés por su flora y fauna.

La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 150 m. (pueblo) y 400 m. (Río). La visita se desarrolla por un espacio de cuestas (rio) y plano (pueblo).

Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

RIÓPAR: We have the Fabricas de San Juan Museum in the centre of the town and the famous Birth of Mundo River (on the road of Villaverde). It has road signs (Mundo River).

If you like animals, a option is to visit the Iberian Fauna Center CEA La Dehesa, due to its great interest in its flora and fauna.

The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 150 m. (town) and 400 m. (river). The visit takes place through a space with slopes (river) and flat (town).

RIOPAR: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de tierra y piedra –rio- y caminos de cemento –pueblo-). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona de cuestas –rio Mundo- y plana –pueblo-. Hay bordillos en las aceras.

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible al Museo (escalones), ni al mirador del nacimiento del río Mundo (escaleras).

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

RIOPAR: As for the firm we have (dirt and stone roads –river- and cement roads –town-). The firm is strong and compact. Regarding the Unevenness, it is a sloped area –Mundo river- and flat area –town-. There are curbs on the sidewalks.

With Wheelchair access isn't feasible to the Museum (steps), and isn't feasible to the viewpoint of the birth of Mundo River (stairs).

En la CM-3204 tenemos un Área Recreativa interesante, dispone de aparcamiento, merendero y un bosque de pinos. También el turismo de aventura tiene su espacio en Riópar (Riópar Aventura).

Si te gusta el senderismo, en la página web del ayuntamiento de Riópar descubrirás un gran número de itinerarios. La fauna y la flora de Riópar es muy interesante, pues se trata de un espacio natural de gran belleza.

Si visitas el Nacimiento del Río Mundo, las crecidas pueden ser peligrosas, así que debes de seguir todas las instrucciones que en la cartelería podrás leer.

On the CM-3204 we have a very interesting Recreational Area, it has a car park, a picnic area and a beautiful pine forest. Adventure tourism also has its space in Riópar (Riópar Aventura).

El Museo Fábrica de San Juan de Riópar es el testimonio de los intentos por industrializar el país, que se realizaron en el siglo XVIII, en tiempos de Carlos III.

Podemos admirar en la exposición diversas maquinarias de la revolución industrial del siglo XVIII, XIX y XX.

El nacimiento del río Mundo en Riópar se encuentra en el paraje de “Los Chorros del Río Mundo”, las aguas parecen recogerse en una cueva de 32 Km., y caen por un precipicio en varias cascadas, con un desnivel de 300 m.
