El castillo medieval de San José de Guadalest es una fortaleza andalusí que data del siglo XI, se ubica sobre una gran roca, los terremotos del siglo XVII y las voladuras de la Guerra de Sucesión lo dañaron seriamente.

El horario de verano (julio-septiembre) es de lunes a domingo (10:00-14:00 y 15:00-19:00), en marzo-junio y octubre es de lunes a domingo (10:00-14:00 y 15:00-18:00) y en noviembre-febrero es de lunes a domingo (10:00-14:00 y 15:00-17:00).

La Fuentes de Algar de Callosa de Ensarriá, es un conjunto de formaciones de origen kárstico de roca caliza, con un río creando cascadas y pequeños charcos, entre desfiladeros y abundante vegetación.

La iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo de Altea, es una construcción de estilo barroco; en el exterior destaca la fachada con torre, frontón triangular y las cúpulas con azulejos azules.

The church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo of Altea is a Baroque style building; outside we stand out the façade with tower, triangular pediment and the domes with blue tiles.

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

A Altea puedes acceder por la salida 64 de la AP-7, después coger la CV-755 para Callosa de Ensarriá y para Guadalest.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible al castillo de Guadalest, pero el pueblo tiene rampas que permiten adentrarse mucho y admirar bellas panorámicas (pese a las cuestas es recomendable); no es factible el acceso a las fuentes de Algar (escalones); ni a la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo de Altea ( escalones y marco puerta).

LOCATION

To the town of Altea you can access by exit 64 of the AP-7, then take the CV-755 for Callosa de Ensarri'a and for Guadalest.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED

With a Wheelchair access is not feasible to the castle of Guadalest, but the town has multiple ramps that allow you enter a lot and admire beautiful landscapes views (but it is recommended); the access isn't feasible to the fountains of Algar (steps), not to the church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo de Altea (steps and door frame).
