Sobre el Cerro de San Cristóbal dominando la Bahía, alcazaba y murallas coronan la ciudad de Almería. La Alcazaba de Almería se completa con las murallas que rodean el cerro de San Cristóbal, de 3 metros de ancho y 5 metros de alto. Es la construcción Andalusí de mayor tamaño de España. Datadas en tiempos andalusíes, comenzó a construirse en (955) por Abd al-Rahman III, tiene casi 1000 años de antigüedad, y dispone de diversas fases constructivas en época Andalusí. Fueron declaradas BIC.

HORARIOS-ENTRADA

Horario de verano (16 de junio a 15 de septiembre) de martes a sábado de 9:00 a 15:00, domingos y festivos de 9:00 a 15:00, el horario de otoño (16 de septiembre a 31 de diciembre) es de martes a sábado de 9:00 a 18:00 y domingos y festivos de 9:00 a 15:00; el horario de invierno (1 de enero a 31 de marzo) es de martes a sábado de 9:00 a 18:00, domingos y festivos de 9:00 a 15:00; y en primavera (1 de abril a 15 de junio) es de martes a sábado de 9:00 a 20:00 y los domingos 9:00 a 15:00. Entrada gratuita.

ALCAZABA OF ALMERÍA

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

On the fill of San Cristobal dominating the bay, citadel and walls crown the beautiful city of Almeria. Pechina fue un estado independiente una Republica Marítima en tiempos del Califato de Córdoba, que tenía una gran Mezquita y murallas. Cronología de época emiral y califal. Bien de Interés Cultural desde (1983).

Yacimiento verjado, pero abandonado (fuerte crecimiento de plantas), el teléfono del ayuntamiento de Pechina es el 950.317.125.

ACCESO A ALMERÍA

Para la Alcazaba de Almería coger la salida 438 de la A-7, recorreremos el paseo marítimo hasta llegar a una glorieta donde ya hay cartelería, el ascenso no es muy duro, así que podemos dejar el coche en las calles de Almería.

Desde Almería por la A-92 (salida 387) se llega muy rápido a Pechina, el poblado se ubica en el paraje conocido como los Llanos de Benitez, en la margen izquierda del río Andarax. Y continuando por la A-92 (salida 382) podemos coger la carretera a Gador que nos llevará a Santa Fe de Mondujar, donde se ubica el yacimiento de Los Millares.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

No es accesible la Alcazaba de Almería hay muchos tramos con escaleras; por otro lado, los yacimientos son accesibles de manera relativa, pues el firme es muy irregular.

LOCATION - ALMERÍA

For access to Alcazaba of Almería we recommend the exit 438 of the A-7, we will cross the promenade until arriving at a roundabout where there is already signage, the climb isn't very hard, so we can leave the car in the streets of Almeria.

It isn't accessible the Alcazaba for wheelchair user, because there are many sections with stairs; while the sites of Bayyana and Millares are accessible in relative way, because the surface is very irregular.

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Tenemos al menos 3 murallas con torres de planta semicircular, hay también viviendas, tumbas tipo tholoi (probablemente tuvo unas 90 tumbas) y un pequeño Museo. Cronología del Calcolítico. Probablemente el yacimiento Calcolítico más importante de España.

Todos los días del año de miércoles a domingos de 10:00 a 14:00, festivos cerrados. Entrada gratuita.

ACCESO

Acceso desde Almería por la N-340 primero y después por la A-348 que va a Santa Fe de Mondujar. Millares se ubica a 17 kilómetros de Almería.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

LOCATION

Access from Almería by the N-340 first and after by the A-348 that goes to Santa Fe de Mondujar. Millares is located 17 kilometers (10,5 miles) from Almería.
