PUENTE ROMANO DE CANGAS DE ONIS

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Puente ubicado sobre el río Sella y aunque se dice que es romano, realmente lo que puedes ver es esencialmente medieval, de la época de Alfonso XI de Castilla, su arco peraltado es blanco de miles de cámaras fotográficas y la cruz que cuelga, es una reproducción de la mítica Cruz de la Victoria, emblema de la bandera asturiana, la original custodiada en Oviedo en la Cámara Santa de la catedral, tiene en su interior fragmentos del Lignum Crucis, la cruz de Cristo.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION
