CASTILLO DE VALDECORNEJA (EL BARCO DE ÁVILA)

El castillo de Valdecorneja es una fortaleza gótica del siglo XV, que se ubica en un cerro que debió de ser el solar de un castro vetton, tiene planta rectangular, dispone de torre de homenaje en el centro del muro oeste, el acceso es un arco apuntado.

IGLESIA DE LA ASUNCIÓN (EL BARCO DE ÁVILA)

La iglesia de la Asunción es un edificio gótico, del siglo XIV, dispone de 3 naves, rematadas en 3 ábsides poligonales, con contrafuertes, bóvedas de crucería, con ventanales apuntados y portada abocinada.

Hay misas en verano a las 13:00 (festivos) y a las 20:00 (laborables) y en invierno a las 10:00 (festivos) y a las 19:30 (laborables).

The church of La Asunción is a Gothic building, dated in the 15 th century, has 3 naves, with 3 poligonal apses, has nice buttresses, ribbed vaults, with Gothic windows, the Mayor portal is conical.

PUENTE ROMÁNICO (EL BARCO DE ÁVILA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

El puente románico o puente viejo, es un monumental puente, se data en el siglo XIII, es un largo puente de 125 metros de longitud, dispuesto sobre un anterior de origen romano, siendo el actual una reforma del siglo XIII, que le doto del típico perfil de “lomo de asno”; los franceses volaron en la Gª. de Independencia un arco central o fornix.
