El castillo-palacio de Magalia (Navas del Marqués) fue erigido en el siglo XVI, es un edificio de estilo renacentista; obra de Don Pedro Dávila y Zúñiga se erigió sobre un castillo anterior del siglo XIII; es de buena sillería. En el exterior sobresalen los grandes torreones, 3 son circulares, dentro hay un patio, con 3 plantas.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The castle-palace of Magalia (Navas del Marqués) was erected in the 16 th century, it is a building of Renaissance style; work of Don Pedro Dávila y Zuñiga was erected on a previous castle of the 13 th century; it is of good ashlar masonry. Outside the great towers stand our, 3 are circular, inside there is a courtyard with 3 floors.

IGLESIA S. JUAN (NAVAS DEL MARQUÉS)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de San Juan de Navas del Marqués es un edificio del siglo XVI, con estructuras de estilo gótico y barroco; en el exterior sobresale la torre de planta cuadrada; en el interior destaca el retablo barroco del altar mayor, diversas tallas del siglo XVI y un órgano del siglo XVII.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de misas todo el año es a las 11:00 y a las 12:00, solo los festivos.

The church of San Juan of Navas del Marqués is a 16 th century building, with Gothic and Baroque structures; on the outside, the square tower stands out; inside the Baroque altarpiece of the main altar stands out, as well as several carvings from the 16 th cenury and an organ from 17 th century.

La ermita de San Antonio en Navas del Marqués, es una pequeña construcción de planta rectangular con 2 ventanucos, puerta adintelada y techumbre coronada con un arco rematado en una cruz; data de finales del s. XIX; es punto de reunión de los aldeanos en la romería del santo patrón el 13 de junio.

The hermitage of San Antonio in Navas del Marqués is a small rectangular building with 2 small windows, lintel door and roof crowned with a arch finished in a cross; dates fro the late 19 th century; it is the meeting point of the villagers in the pilgrimage of the patron saint on June 13.

NAVAS DEL MARQUÉS: Se ubica esta localidad en la CL-505 entre El Escorial y Ávila, para visitar los monumentos podemos entrar al pueblo por la glorieta del Bar Magalia, después en la 1ª glorieta girar a la derecha y en la 2ª glorieta girar a izquierda, llegaremos a la ermita de San Antonio que veremos a la derecha de la carretera.
