CASTILLO (ALANGE)

El castillo de Alange es un castillo medieval, ubicado sobre un formidable cerro, es un castillo de sillarejo, se remonta al siglo IX, es obra de los árabes, solo se conservan 3 torres y la torre de homenaje, así como un aljibe morisco.

Alange Castle is a medieval castle, located on a formidable hill, is acastle of rubblework, dates back to the 9 th century, it is the work of the Arabs, only 3 towers and the keep are preserved, as well as a Moorish cistern.

IGLESIA DE LOS MILAGROS (ALANGE)

La iglesia de los Milagros, de la localidad de Alange es de estilo Gótico-Mudéjar, data del siglo XVI, el templo se erigió con mampostería y ladrillo, en el exterior unos gruesos contrafuertes marcan el perfil de este edificio; en el interior tenemos una única nave.

CHURCH OF LOS MILAGROS (ALANGE)

The church of Los Milagros, in the town of Alange is Gothic-Mudejar style, dates from the 16 th century, the temple was erected with rubblework and brick, on the outside a thick buttresses mark the profile of this building; inside we have a single nave.

BAÑOS ROMANOS (ALANGE)

El complejo termal romano es un edificio rectangular (33 x 16 m.), que tuvo bóvedas y claraboyas, así como piscinas y ámbitos para distintos sexos; la datación podría remontarse al siglo II d.C.

VISITA : La visita a las termas romanas se concerta en el balneario, existiendo dos turnos de visitas guiadas. Teléfono 924.365.106.

ROMAN BATHS (ALANGE)

The Roman thermal complex is a rectangulñar building (33x16 m. = 108x52 ft), which had vaults and skylights, as weell as swimming pools and areas for differerent sexes; the dating could go back to the 2 nd century AD.

ACCESO A ALANGE :

El pueblo de Alange se ubica al sur de Mérida a 18 Km.

En Alange las termas romanas se ubican en la zona más baja del pueblo, junto al cerro de la Mesilla.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS :

Hay rampas y escaleras en buena parte del acceso de los monumentos de Alange, pero el pueblo es encantador.

ACCESS TO ALANGE :

The town of Alange is located south of Mérida at 18 Km.

In Alange the Roman baths are located in the lower area of the town, next to the hill of La Mesilla.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED :

There are ramps and stairs in a good part of the access of the Alange monuments. Bu the town is charming.

DOLMEN DE HUERTA MONTERO (ALMENDRALEJO)

Tenemos un dolmen de falsa cúpula (tipo tholos), con cámara de 4,40 m. de diámetro y 4 metros de corredor. Cronología del Calcolítico (4.650 a.C. por C-14).

VISITA : Para poder visitar el monumento dirigirse a la Oficina de Turismo de Almendralejo, Plaza de la Iglesia 16 o mejor llamar con antelación al 924.666.967.

ACCESO A ALMENDRALEJO : A Almendralejo se accede normalmente por la A-66, por la salida 648 todo recto, hasta ver el cartel de la ITV, torcer a izquierda.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS : Los usuarios de sillas de ruedas no tendrán problemas pues se han dispuesto pasarelas.

DOLMEN OF HUERTA MONTERO (ALMENDRALEJO)

We have a false dome dolmen (type tholos), with a chamber of 4,40 m. (14.4 ft) in diameter and 4 m. (13,12 ft) of corridor. Chronology of Chalcoloitic (4.650 BC for C-14).

VISIT : To visit the monument go to the Tourist Office of Almendralejo, Plaza de la Iglesia 16 or better call 924.666.967 in advance.

ACCESS TO ALMENDRALEJO: To Almendralejo you can access by the A-66, exit 648 straight, until you see the ITV sign, turn left.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED : Wheelchair users will not have problems as walkways have been arranged.
