VISEU: Se ubica en la antigua región de Beira Alta, en el actual distrito de Viseu. El solar debió de ser un castro céltico, después los romanos tomaron el control, pues era una ciudad estratégica entre Mérida y Bracara. Tras el dominio musulmán los reyes leoneses conquistaron Viseu hacia (1057), después formaría parte del reino de Portugal. La ciudad se amuralló en el siglo XV. Entre los principales monumentos citaremos la porta dos Cabaleiros, la catedral de estilo gótico y manuelino, la capilla de los Remedios, el palacio arzobispal y la iglesia de la Misericordia de estilo rococó. |
VISEU: It is located in the old region of Beira Alta, in the current district of Viseu. The Viseu settlement must have been a Celtic hillfort, later the Romans took control, as it was a strategic city between Mérida and Bracara. After Muslim rule, the Leonese kings conquered Viseu around (1057), later it would form part of the kingdom pf Portugal. The city was walled in the 15 th century. Among the main monuments we will mention the Porta do Cabaleiros, the Gothic and Manueline cathedral, Los Remedios chapel, the archbishop's palace and the Misericordia church in Rococo style. |

VISEU: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay un parking interesante en la avenida Capitán Silva Pereira. El aparcamiento es gratuito. Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos. |

VISEU: Viseu no es una ciudad muy grande, una circunvalación rodea toda la ciudad, con muchas rotondas. Todos los monumentos de la ciudad de Viseu se encuentran en el centro histórico sobre un pequeño cerro. Te recomendamos que sigas la ruta propuesta en el plano Vernur (líneas verde, naranja y azul). La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 1.400 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio plano con alguna cuesta. Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte. |

All the interesting monuments of the beautiful locality of Viseu are locate in the historic centre over a wonderful and little hill. We recommend you to follow the proposed route at Vernur Map (green, orange and blue lines). The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 1,400 m. The visit takes place through a space flat with some slope. Vernur recommends that you don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, clothing appropriate to the climate, a good hat and don't forget to hydrate. |

VISEU: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana con alguna cuesta. No hay bordillos en las aceras (centro). Acceso no factible para silla de ruedas a la catedral, y a la iglesia de la Misericordia, es posible en la capilla (escalones), y visita exterior a la puerta de los Caballeros. La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información. |

VISEU: Es muy famosa y recomendable la Feria de São Mateus (14 de agosto a 21 de septiembre) que es un mercado de productos y artesanía regionales. También te recomendamos el Parque do Fontelo, pues tiene un bosque muy agradable con su merendero, se accede fácilmente desde la N-2 que rodea Viseu por el flanco oriental, en la glorieta donde se ubica tanto el Hotel Viseu como una monumental puerta de sillería, se ubica la avenida Jose Relvas que conduce directo tras unos 100 m. a este parque.
