La catedral vieja data del siglo XIII, es de estilo románico y gótico, tiene también bóvedas de crucería, destacando el claustro de estilo cisterciense. CASA DE LAS DOS TORRES - PLASENCIAINFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICAEl Palacio de Monroy o casa de las dos Torres, es una mansión medieval que data del siglo XIV, fue construido por orden del abad de Santander, Don Pérez de Monroy, la portada es gótica, dos leones flanquean las puertas, encima un monumental balcón con ventana geminada corona la fachada. HOUSE OF DOS TORRES - PLASENCIAHISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATIONThe Palace of Monroy or House of the Two Towers, is a medieval mansion dating from the 14 th century, was built by order of the Abbot of Santander, Don Péres de Monroy, the façade is Gothic, two lions flank the doors; a monumental balcony with twined window crowns the façade. ACCESO A ENCLAVES - PLASENCIAACCESOLa ciudad de Plasencia se ubica en la A-66 (ruta de la Plata) entre Cáceres y Salamanca. Desde Madrid puede accederse por la A-5 y en Navalmoral de la Mata coger la EXA1. ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOSEl acceso a la catedral para usuarios de sillas de ruedas es complicado, por las escalinatas y tiene rampa para sillas de ruedas en un lateral. En los palacios de Plasencia solo la primera planta es visitable con silla de ruedas. Acueducto y murallas visita exterior. |

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPEDThe access to the cathedral for Wheelchair users is diffciult for the stairs; but in a side gate you will see a ramp for wheelchairs. In the palaces of Plasencia only the first floor can be visited with a wheelchair. Feasible outside visit in the aqueduct and in the walls. |
