		VILLA ROMANA DE BENICATÓ (NULES) INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA En Nules tenemos una villa romana rural, datada en el siglo I a.C., en la que sobresale sobre todo su impluvium circular (7 m. de diámetro), dentro de un patio cuadrado de unos 24 m. de lado; los mosaicos encontrados fueron tapados; finalmente hacia el siglo IV la villa fue abandonada ENTRADAS Y HORARIO Teléfono del ayuntamiento: 964.670.001. ROMAN VILA OF BENICATÓ (NULES) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION In Nules we have a rural Roman vila dating back to 1st century BC, with a circular impluvium (7 m. = 22 ft diameter) standing out in a squeare courtyard of about 24 m (78,7 ft) sideways; the mosaics found were covered; finally towards 4 th century the town was abandoned. UBICACIÓN

NULES: Nules se encuentra entre Castellón (capital) y Sagunto; se puede acceder por la AP-7 y la N-340. La villa romana se ubica al SE de la población entre naranjos, se accede por la carretera del Polígono Industrial (reconocible pues a la salida del pueblo veras un campo de fútbol), coge el primer desvío a la izquierda, cruzaras por encima de las vías del tren y llegaras a un cruce con un primer cartel “Benicató”, aquí giras a la izquierda y después en el siguiente cruce a la derecha y a 500 metros esta el acceso para Benicató.

LOCATION

NULES: Nules is between Castellón (capital) and Sagunto; is accessible by AP-7 and the N-340. The Roman vila is located in the SE of the town, between orange trees, you can access by the road of the Industrial Area (recognizable because at the exit of the village you will see a football field), take the first turnoff on the left, cross over the tracks of the train and you will arrive at a cross roads with a first sign “Benicató”, here you turn left and then at the next junction turn right and at 500 meters you will see the Benicató vila.

Tenemos un arco de un solo vano, de sillería, en buen estado de conservación.

Cronología romana, pero el arco aun esta sujeto a investigación para unos de Trajano, para otros de tiempos de Adriano.

We have an arch of a single doorway, of ashlar, in good conditions.

Roman chronology but still subject to investigation for some scholars is dated in Trajan's times, for others in Hadrian's times.

CASTILLO DE ONDA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Onda es un edificio erigido por los musulmanes en el siglo X, el acceso se realiza por una entrada con 2 torreones circulares; dentro tenemos la alcazaba o palacio andalusí, que se data en el siglo XI, el palacio se estructura en torno a un gran patio, rodeado de los aposentos, almacenes, letrinas y aljibes.

HORARIOS-ENTRADA

Horario de verano de abril a septiembre de lunes a domingo de 10:30 a 14:00 y de 17:30 a 21:00. Visita libre, gratuita y no guiada.

CASTLE OF ONDA

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The castle of Onda is a building erected by the Muslims in the 10 th century, the access is realized by a gate with 2 circular towers; inside we have the Alcazaba or the Andalusi palace, that dates back to the 11 th century, the palace is structured around a large courtyard, surround by rooms, warehouses, latrines and cisterns.

Summer timetable from April to September from Monday to Sunday from 10,30 am to 2 pm and from 5,30 pm to 9 pm. Free visit, unguided, no tickets.

UBICACIÓN - LA PLANA

CABANES: Acceso desde Castellón por la CV-10, que va directa a Cabanes. Ubicado en una glorieta, en la carretera que conduce a Vall d'Alba, hay suficiente cartelería.

ONDA: Se encuentra a pocos Kms de Castellón capital, se accede a Onda por la CV-20; hay mucha cartelería para acceder al castillo.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

CABANES: Acceso factible con silla de ruedas.

ONDA: Hay rampas de acceso, pero no todo el castillo es accesible para usuarios de sillas de ruedas.

LOCATION - LA PLANA

CABANES: Access from Castellón by CV-10, which goes straight to Cabanes. Located in a roundabout, on the road to go to Vall d'Alba, there is enough signage in the road.

ONDA: Onda is located a few Kms from Castellón capital, acceding to Onda by the CV-20; there is plenty of signage to access the castle.
