Zuheros: Monumentos y turismo


		ZUHEROS: Es una localidad muy turística de calles estrechas, con casas blancas, patios engalanados y las típicas flores andaluzas (geranios, buganvillas y gitanillas). Entre sus monumentos destacamos el formidable y pintoresco castillo medieval, la iglesia de los Remedios y el Museo Arqueológico. En los alrededores podemos disfrutar las cuevas de los Murciélagos, que son las cuevas más grandes de la provincia de Córdoba. En el pueblo hay rutas de senderismo muy interesantes y atractivas. Algunas están señalizadas (carteles y balizas).		ZUHEROS: It is a very touristy town with narrow streets, with white houses, decorated patios and typical Andalusian flowers (geraniums, bougainvillea and gypsies). Among its monuments we stand out the formidable and picturesque medieval castle, the church of Los Remedios and the Archaeological Museum. In the surroundings we can enjoy the famous and interesting Cuevas de los Murcielagos, which are the largest caves in the province of Córdoba. In the village there are Hiking routes very interesting and amazing. Some routes are marked (signs and beacons).


		ZUHEROS: Coger desde Córdoba la N-432 y tras pasar Baena coger la A-318 desde donde sale la carretera a Zuheros. La cueva se ubica a 4 Km. de Zuheros, en la cima del cerro de los Murciélagos, hay señalización.		ZUHEROS: Take the N-432 from Córdoba and after passing Baena take the A-318 from where the road to Zuheros starts. The cave is located 4 Km from Zuheros at the top of Cerro de los Murcielagos. It is signposted.


		ZUHEROS: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay un parking pequeño a la entrada, junto al mirador. El aparcamiento es gratuito. Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.		ZUHEROS: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far. There is a small parking, at the entrance, next the viewpoint. Parking is free. Vernur collaborates with many town councils in regulating traffic in their municipalities, avoiding the collapse of some areas, which would cause “Tourismphobia”, while facilitating visitor access to both parking and historic centres.


		ZUHEROS: La zona donde se concentran los monumentos es el Centro Histórico. Aquí podemos ver algunos monumentos como el castillo y el museo arqueológico. La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 500 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio con cuestas. Ver plano Vernur. A las afueras podemos ver la cueva (a 4 Km. del pueblo). Es recomendable hacer reserva, a través de la página web (www.cuevadelosmurcielagos.com). La ruta de senderismo del Sendero Alto del río Bailón es muy interesante y recomendable Vernur recomienda llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero e hidratarte.		ZUHEROS: The area where the monuments are concentrated is the Historic Centre . Here we can see some monuments such as the castle and the archaeological museum. The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 500 m. The visit takes place through a space with slopes. Look Vernur map. Outside we can see the cave (to 4 Km. from the town). We recommend the reservation, through the web page (www.cuevadelosmurcielagos.com ). Vernur recommends to wear comfortable shoes, clothing appropriate to the climate, a good hat and to hydrate. The hiking route “Sendero Alto del Río Bailón” is very interesting and recommendable.


		ZUHEROS: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona de cuestas. Hay bordillos en las aceras. El castillo y las cuevas son inaccesibles con silla de ruedas, respecto a la iglesia de los Remedios y el museo tienen un pequeño escalón en la entrada. La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.		ZUHEROS: As for the firm we have (stone and cement roads). The firm is strong and compact. Regarding the unevenness, it is a sloped area. There are curbs on the sidewalks. 		ZUHEROS: En la localidad se celebra la famosa Feria del Queso (hacia el mes de septiembre), que atrae a multitud de amantes de este producto, pues Zuheros ha ganado premios nacionales e internacionales, realizándose degustaciones entre los participantes. En la carretera que conduce a la Cueva de los Murciélagos en una curva veremos dos pilares con un largo madero, que da acceso a un parking, bajando veremos el merendero de esta tranquila Área Recreativa, llamada Las Cruces. La iglesia de Los Remedios de Zuheros, es un edificio del siglo XVI, antiguamente estaba bajo la advocación de Santa María.

En el siglo XVII se realizaron importantes trabajos como la colocación del retablo mayor y la cúpula semiesférica, posteriormente en el siglo XVIII se erigió la torre y se compró el órgano

The church of Los Remedios de Zuheros, is a building of the 16th century, was formerly under the dedication of Santa Maria.

In the 17 th century important works were carried out, such as the placement of the main altarpiece and the hemispherical dome, later in the 18 th century the tower was erected and the organ was bought.

		(NUEVA CARTEYA) INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA Tenemos un recinto fortificado, de grandes bloques ciclópeos, algunos almohadillados; en el que aparecieron algunas esculturas ibéricas. Se recomienda completar la visita con la asistencia al Museo de Doña Mencía. Cronología de la Edad del Hierro (siglos V al II a.C.). (NUEVA CARTEYA) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFO We have a fortified enclosure, with cyclopean large stones, same with high relief, here they found some sculptures.
