Exploramos ahora varios pueblos de la comarca de la Subbética de Córdoba, como Luque y Priego.

LUQUE: El topónimo deriva del latín “Lucus” (lugar de bosques sagrados). Destaca la Iglesia de la Asunción, la cueva de la Encantada, los bunkers de El Aceitunillo, varias ermitas y el castillo andalusí encaramado al cerro que domina la localidad.

PRIEGO: Es conocida como la “Joya del Barroco Cordobés”, por la gran cantidad de monumentos de esta época, construidos gracias a que la industria sedera prospero notablemente; además la presencia de manantiales y fuentes la hace ideal en verano, al refrescar el ambiente. Tiene muchos monumentos como la fuente del Rey, la fuente de la Salud, el castillo, las Carnicerías Reales, la iglesia del Carmen, la iglesia de San Pedro, la iglesia de la Asunción y la Casa de D. Niceto Alcalá-Zamora.

We now explore several towns in the Subbética region of Córdoba, such as Luque and Priego.

LUQUE: The name derives from the Latin “Lucus” (place of sacred forests). We stand out the Church of La Asunción, the Cave of la Encantada, the bunkers of El Aceitunillo, several hermitages and the Andalusi castle perched on the hill that dominates the town.

PRIEGO: It is known as the “Jewel of the Baroque of Cordoba”, due to the large number of monuments from this era, built thanks to the fact that the silk industry prospered remarkably; in addition, the presence of springs and fountains makes it ideal in summer, by refreshing the environment. It has many monuments such as the King's fountain, the Health fountain, the castle, the Royal Butchers, the Carmen church, the San Pedro church, La Asunción church and the House of D. Niceto Alcalá-Zamora.

LUQUE-PRIEGO: El acceso principal para Luque se realiza por la carretera N-432 (Córdoba-Granada). También a Priego se puede acceder por la N-432 .

Otro importante acceso para Priego es la A-339 que atraviesa el municipio y conecta Alcalá la Real y Lucena.

LUQUE: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, pero puedes aparcar en la Plaza de España. El aparcamiento es gratuito.

PRIEGO: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay espacio a la entrada (por la Cepsa) a unos 300-400 m. El aparcamiento es gratuito.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

PRIEGO: El castillo de Priego se encuentra en el sector norte (c. Marqués de Priego). Los otros enclaves en el sector sur en la calle del Río (Casa de Niceto Alcalá Zamora, iglesia de El Carmen y Fuente del Rey). La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 1.500 m. Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

PRIEGO: The castle of Priego de Córdoba is located in the northern area (c. Marquis de Priego). The other sites in the southern area on calle Del Río (House of Niceto Alcalá Zamora, church of El Carmen and the Fountain of the King). The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 1,500 m. Vernur recommends that you don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, clothing appropriate to the climate, a good hat and don't forget to hydrate.

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (marco puerta) y al castillo de Luque (cuesta empinada).

PRIEGO: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de asfalto y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana (alguna cuesta). Hay bordillos en las aceras. Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible al castillo (solo al Patio de Armas), a la Casa de Niceto Alcalá Zamora (escalones), a El Carmen (escalones); pero el acceso es factible a la Fuente del Rey.

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

LUQUE: Tiene un amplio e interesante ciclo festivo, con la fiesta de la Candelaria, el Carnaval, la Semana Santa, destacando la Fiesta de la Cruz con el concurso de rejas y patios (mayo), en el que Luque se engalana de flores.

PRIEGO: La Semana Santa atrae a muchos de visitantes, también la Feria Real (1-5 de septiembre). Otro evento conocido es AgroPriego (mediados de septiembre) que es una feria agrícola.

En la carretera A-339 que conduce a Cabra tenemos el área recreativa El Palancar, con un aparcamiento, merendero y denso bosque; el acceso está indicado con un cartel marrón.

LUQUE: It has a wide and interesting festive cycle, with the Candelaria festival, Carnival, Holy Week, we stand out the Festival of the Cross, with the railings and patios contest (May), in which Luque is adorned with flowers.

PRIEGO: Holy Week attracts many visitors, as well as the Royal Fair (September 1-5). Another well-known event is Agro-Priego (mid-September) which is an agricultural fair.

On the A-339 road that goes to Cabra we have El Palancar recreational area, with a car park, picnic area and dense forest; access is indicated with a brown sign.
