CONCATEDRAL (FERROL)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La catedral de San Julián de Ferrol, es catedral desde (1959), la construcción se remonta al siglo XVIII, es obra del ingeniero Juan Sánchez Bort, en su fachada destaca el amplio frontón triangular, los remates piramidales, el pórtico con 3 arcos semicirculares y las 2 grandes torres, en el interior destaca la cúpula. Ferrol también tiene murallas modernas, museo naval, museo de historia natural y teatro.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de misas es de lunes a viernes 11:00 y 19:30, sábados a las 11:00 y 19:30 y domingos y festivos es a las 11:00, 13:00 y 19:30.

The cathedral of San Julián de Ferrol, is a cathedral since (1959), the building dates back to the 18 th century, it is the work of the engineer Juan Sánchez Bort, in its façade highlights the wide triangular pediment, the pyramidal tops, the porch with 3 semicircular arches and 2 large towers, inside highloghts the dome. Ferrol also has modern walls, naval museum, a Natural History museum and theater.

Timetable of Masses is from Monday to Friday at 11:00 and at 19:30, Saturdays at 11:00 and 19:30 and Sundays and holidays is at 11:00, 13:00 and 19:30.

MONASTERIO (XUBIA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El Monasterio de San Martiño de Xubia, llamado “De Couto” se remonta al siglo XII (se erigió sobre uno anterior del siglo IX-X), pero el pórtico y la alta torre son del siglo XVIII. Es un edificio de buena sillería en el que sobresale la cabecera con 3 ábsides, con canecillos y contrafuertes.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

Horario de visitas, sábados y domingos de 10:00 a 13:00. El horario de misas es los festivos a las 12:00.

MONASTERY (XUBIA)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The Monastery of San Martiño de Xubia, called “DE Couto” dates back to the 12 th century ( it was built on an earlier one from the 9 th -10 th century), but the portico and the large tower date back to the 18 th century. It is a building of good ashlar masonry in which highlights the head with 3 apses, with corbels and buttresses.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

Timetable: Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00. The timetable of Masses is the holidays at 12:00.

CASTELO DE NARAIO (S. SADURNIÑO)

(FERROL)

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

MOECHE: Por la AC-862 (Ferrol-Ortigueira), desviándose a Moeche y después seguir el cartel para el Castillo.

FERROL: Acceso por la AP-9 (peaje) o por la AG-64.

XUBIA: A las afueras de Ferrol, junto a la ría de Ferrol, al paso de la AP-9 esta el desvío (salida 33F) para el Monasterio

S. SADURNIÑO: Se accede por la salida 18 de la AG-64, dirección Naraio.

LOCATION

MOECHE: For AC-862 (Ferrol-Ortigueira) dotour to Moeche and then follow the sighpost for the Castle.

FERROL: Access by AP-9 (toll) or by AG-64. San Sadurniño is next to AG-64.

XUBIA: Outside of Ferrol, next to the Ferrol estuary, along the AP-9 is the detour (exit 33F) to the Monastery.

S. SADURNIÑO: Access by exit 18 of the AG-64, direction Naraion.
