		MONASTERIO (UCLÉS) INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA El monasterio se construyó en el siglo XVI; es de estilo renacentista, aunque la fachada sur es de estilo barroco; la decoración de conchas y cruces son un claro testimonio del paso de la Orden de Santiago por Uclés, en el claustro sobresale un brocal de pozo de estilo Barroco, realmente soberbio. Dentro sobresale el refectorio con artesonado de madera, con decoración de la Orden de Santiago; y la iglesia fue erigida por Francisco de Mora, sobresaliendo el retablo Mayor. HORARIOS- ENTRADA Los horarios del monasterio son en verano (junio-agosto) de lunes a domingo de 10:00 a 20:00, en otoño (septiembre-octubre) de lunes a domingo de 10:00 a 19:00, en invierno (noviembre-febrero) de lunes a domingo de 10:00 a 18:00 y en primavera (marzo-mayo) de lunes a domingo de 10:00 a 19:00. Tarifa general 4€.				MONASTERY (UCLÉS) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION The monastery was built in 16 th century, in Renaissance style; but the south façade is Baroque style; the shells and crosses decorarion is a testimony of the Order of Santiago in Uclés; in the cloister we emphasize the well of Baroque style, really superb. Inside stands out the refectory with a ceiling of wood, with decoration about the Order of Santiago; while the church was built by Francisco de Mora, highlighting the altarpiece. TICKETS AND TIMETABLE The monastery has a timetable in summer (June-August) from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm; in Autumn (September-October) from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm; in winter (November-February) from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm and spring (March-May) from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm. General rate € 4.

CASTILLO ÁRABE (UCLÉS)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Uclés tuvo un castillo árabe del que queda murallas y algunas torres, el castillo data del siglo IX obra de al-Fatah ben Musa ben Zennun, entre los siglos XI y XII fue campo de batalla entre moros y cristianos, siendo destruido en parte en el siglo XVI, para construir el monasterio, las murallas del castillo pueden verse por las laderas.

ARAB CASTLE (UCLÉS)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

Uclés had a arab castle that preserves walls and some towers, the castle was dated in 9 th century is a wok of al-Fatah ben Musa ben Zennun, between 11 th and 12 th century was a battlefield between Moors and Christians, and was partially demolished in the 16 th century, for to build the monastery, you can see the walls in the slopes.

En Uclés podemos disfrutar de las puertas de las murallas, de las fuentes monumentales (Destaca la de los Cinco Caños) y de las casonas solariegas. Sobresale el ayuntamiento del siglo XV, así como diversos palacios como el de los Fernández y Contreras (siglo XV), el de los Torres (siglo XV) y el de los Pareja y Cedillo (siglo XV).

In Uclés we can enjoy the gates of the walls, the monumental fountains (stand out the Cinco Caños) and tha major houses. It stands out the town hall of the 15th century, as well as several palaces such as the Fernandez and Contreras (15th century), the Torres (15th century) and the Pareja and Cedillo (15th century).
