El Nacimiento del Río Cuervo puede visitarse en la localidad de Vega del Codorno, es un lugar mágico, donde brota un manantial sobre bonitas rocas calcáreas, en ocasiones cubiertas de musgo, mientras en invierno cuando la cascada se congela crea estampas de gran belleza.

The birth of Cuervo river can be visited in the town of Vega del Codorno, it is a magic site, where a spring springs up on beautiful calcareous rocks, sometimes covered with moss, while in winter when the waterfall freezes it creates pictures of great beautty.

El Nacimiento del Río Tajo en Frías de Albarracín, es un lugar emblemático; el río Tajo mide 1008 Km. nace en Frías de Albarracín y desemboca en Lisboa, cruza las provincias españolas de Teruel, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Madrid, Toledo y Cáceres y las portuguesas de Beira Baja, Santarém y Extremadura portuguesa; el monumento es un homenaje a las 3 provincias de la cabecera Teruel, Cuenca y Guadalajara.

The birth of Tajo river in Frías de Albarracín, is an emblematic place; the Tagus River measures 1008 Km. (626,34 miles). It was born in Frías de Albarracín and flows into Lisbon, crosses the Spanish provinces of Teruel, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Madrid, Toledo and Cáceres and the Portuguese provinces of Beira Baixa, Santarem and Portuguese Estremadura; the monument is a tribute of 3 provinces: Teruel, Cuenca and Guadalajara.

CASTILLO (HUELAMO)

El castillo medieval de Huelamo, se ubica sobre una peña inexpugnable, debió de ser un punto estratégico hacia el siglo X, quizás ya existió aquí un castillo árabe, pero casi todo esta muy arrasado.

The medieval castle of Huelamo, is located on an impregnable rock, it must have been a strategic point towards the 10 th century, perhaps there was already an Arab castle here, but most averything is very devastated.

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

Es una comarca muy remota desde Cuenca puedes acceder desde la A-40, siguiendo primero los carteles de la Ciudad Encantada y después los del Nacimiento del río Cuervo.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible al castillo de Huélamo. Hay zonas adaptadas para minusválidos en el nacimiento del río Cuervo , en el tramo inicial, se puede llegar hasta una bonita cascada.

LOCATION

It is a remote region of Cuenca, you can access from the A-40, following first the signposts of “Ciudad Encantada” and after the signposts for “Nacimiento del Río Cuervo”

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED

Wheelchair access is not feasible to the castle of Huelamo. There areas adapted for handicapped at the Birth of Cuervo River, in the beginning section, you can reach a beautigul waterfall.
