MONTE CORDOVA: Se ubica en la antigua región de Douro Litoral, en el actual distrito de Porto. Se encuentra en el municipio de Santo Tirso.

Destacamos el castro de Monte Padrão que cuenta con centro interpretativo y la capilla de San Rosendo, también es visitable el santuario de la Asunción y la iglesia matriz.

Hay rutas de senderismo muy interesantes y atractivas. Algunas están señalizadas (carteles y balizas). Destacamos la ruta de “Cascadas del Rio Leça”.

SANTO TIRSO: En la cercana Santo Tirso tenemos el mosteiro de São Bento, un gran complejo monástico, la fonte dos Caezinhos y el Museo Internacional de Escultura, muy cerca del río Ave.

MONTE CORDOVA: You can access by the N-105 (Porto-Guimarães), taking the N-319 that go straight to Monte Cordova.

MONTE CORDOVA: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho.

Hay espacio junto a la iglesia y el santuario, para el yacimiento aparca junto al Centro Interpretativo. Parking gratuito.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

MONTE CORDOVA: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far.

There is a space next the church and the sanctuary, for the site park next the Interpretation Centre. Parking is free.

MONTE CORDOVA: Los monumentos están dispersos en el centro la iglesia del divino Salvador, junto a la N-319 el santuario y el castro en un camino rural indicado (cartel marrón).

La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 50 m. (iglesia y santuario) y 100 m. (castro). La visita se desarrolla por un espacio plano (cuesta en el castro).

MONTE CORDOVA: Monuments are scattered at centre is the church of the Divino Salvador, next N-319 is the sanctuary and the hillfort in a rural road signalled (brown signpost).

The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 50 m. (church and sanctuary) and 100 m. (hillfort). The visit takes place through a space flat (slope at the hillfort).

MONTE CORDOVA: Firme de caminos de piedra (pueblo), espacio de césped (castro), caminos de cemento-asfalto (santuario).

Pavimento compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana (cuesta en el castro).

Iglesia y santuario tienen escalones. El castro no es factible la visita tiene una dura cuesta.

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con adaptaciones, consigue una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

MONTE CORDOVA: As for the firm we have stone roads (town), grass space (hillfort) cement-asphalt roads (sanctuary).

The firm is compact. Regarding the unevenness, it is a flat area (slope at the hillfort).

Church and sanctuary have stairs. The hillfort isn´t feasible access, and has a hard slope.

Wheelchair technology has advanced significantly, they are becoming lighter, there are folding models, with all kinds of adaptions, always try to get a modern one, there are even cities where they can be rented, contact us to add information.

MONTE CORDOVA: Al norte de Monte Cordova, tenemos el Parque de Lazer, con un bosque frondoso y merendero, es ideal para realizar una parada en el camino, se accede desde la N-319 se accede por un desvío indicado con un cartel naranja (Campo de futebol), desde este punto hay 300 m. y se ubica en el lado derecho.

El castro de Monte Padrão (Monte Cordova), es un castro de larga cronología que arranca en el siglo IX a.C., perdura en la Edad del Hierro y en la época romana, hasta la Baja Edad Media.

Llegó a tener hasta 3 recintos amurallados y tiene estructuras rectangulares y circulares. El castro se ubica a 7 Km. de Santo Tirso.
