Granada II: Monumentos y turismo


		GRANADA Es una bonita ciudad al pie de Sierra Nevada, regada por el río Genil, que genera una fértil vega. Granada es la llave de acceso a un gran número de ofertas turísticas como la estación de esquí y la costa granadina, pero no olvidaremos el casco antiguo, que está repleto de magníficos monumentos. Granada fue un oppidum ibérico llamado Ilturir, que después pasó a llamarse Iliberri, tras cartagineses, romanos y visigodos, los musulmanes tomaron el control, el topónimo parece árabe “Gar-anat” significa “colina de peregrinos”. En el momento final se crearon importantes reinos, como el reino Ziri y el reino Nazarí, este sería sometido por los Reyes Católicos en (1492). Con la Edad Moderna surgieron muchos de los monumentos que tratamos aquí (la catedral, el hospital Real, el monasterio de San Jerónimo, la iglesia de San Juan de Dios). En Granada por la autopista, coger la carretera de Motril (A-44) y en la salida 16, veras el cartel para la Alhambra. 		GRANADA: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho, es una zona de aparcamiento regulado (zona azul). Hay un parking interesante (P1), es el Parking San Juan de Dios. El aparcamiento es de pago. ZBE: Existen restricciones para los vehículos más contaminantes, según la etiqueta medioambiental. Hay previsto multar a los infractores. Consulta la Página Oficial del Ayuntamiento. Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos. 		GRANADA: La catedral se ubica en pleno centro de Granada, junto a la Gran Vía de Colón. La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 1.000 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio de plano. Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte. 		GRANADA: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana. Hay bordillos en las aceras (bolardos en algunas aceras). Los usuarios de silla de ruedas deben tener en cuenta que el acceso es factible a todos los monumentos. La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información. 		GRANADA: El interior de los templos es muy variado hay interiores de decoración equilibrada como en la catedral y en el Socorro, pero en otros edificios hay una gran riqueza decorativa, casi exuberante (San Jerónimo), hasta incluso recargada y con excepcionales dorados (San Juan de Dios), un auténtico viaje por la historia del Arte. La mejor opción para descansar un rato en la visita es el Parque de Fuentenueva que se encuentra en la Avenida de la Constitución, cerca tienes todo tipo de servicios. 		INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA Sobre la antigua mezquita mayor de Granada, Isabel la Católica mando construir la catedral de Granada, un edificio grandioso; la fachada principal (obra de Alonso Cano) y la capilla mayor son dos joyas del Renacimiento español; el edificio comienza a construirse en el siglo XVI y no se terminó hasta (1704). HORARIOS-ENTRADA Horario de lunes a sábado de 10:00 a 18:30, domingos y festivos de 15:00 a 18:00. Entrada 5 €. HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFO The church of Los Santos Justo y Pastor is of plan of Latin Cross, covering its unique nave with barrel vault, with “casetones” (square panels); in the crossing has a hemispherical dome with a drum with columns; the façade is divided into two bodies and houses an iconographic program inherited from the Jesuits and the second body emphasizes the theme of the conversion of St. Paul; all the complex is presided by St. Ignatius. 		INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA El monasterio de San Jerónimo es un edificio renacentista que comenzó a construirse en (1504), tiene elementos góticos, dispone de plantas de cruz latina con bóvedas góticas, en la cabecera puede verse el escudo del Gran Capitán, dentro destaca el retablo mayor con escenas de la Vida de Cristo. El interior es sobrecogedor. HORARIOS-ENTRADA Horario de verano (15 de marzo a 14 de octubre) de lunes a domingo de 10:00 a 13:30 y de 16:00 a 19:30; el horario de invierno (14 de octubre a 14 de marzo) es de lunes a sábado de 10:00 a 13:30 y de 15:00 a 18:30; entrada 4 €. 		INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA El templo de San Juan de Dios se edificó a mediados del siglo XVIII. Dentro podemos destacar espectaculares retablos con bellos adornos dorados y plateados; es una apoteosis barroca impresionante. HORARIOS-ENTRADA Horario de lunes a sábado de 10:00 a 13:00 y de 16:00 a 18:30 horas y los domingos de 16:00 a 19:00 horas, Entrada 4 €.
