Moclin: Monumentos y turismo

MOCLIN: El topónimo es árabe, así hisn al-Muklin significa “la fortaleza de las pupilas”, y nació en torno a un formidable castillo, construido para defender el reino nazarí del expansionismo castellano.

Moclín formaba parte de un dispositivo que se completaba con torres ópticas como la atalaya de la Porqueriza.

Otros interesantes monumentos de Moclín son la iglesia de la Encarnación, la iglesia del Cristo del Paño, el pósito del pan y la fuente Vieja.

Hay rutas de senderismo muy interesantes y atractivas. Algunas están señalizadas (carteles y balizas).

MOCLIN: The place name is Arabic, so hisn al-Muklin means “the fortress of the pupils” and was born around a formidable and beautiful castle, built to defend the Nasrid kingdom from Castilian expansionism.

Moclín was part of a device that was completed with optical towers such as La Porqueriza watchtower.

Other interesting monuments in Moclín are the church of La Encarnación, the church of Cristo del Paño, the bread storage and the Old fountain.

There are Hiking routes very interesting and amazing. Some routes are marked (signs and beacons).

MOCLIN: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho.

Te recomendamos aparcar justo a la entrada del pueblo. El aparcamiento es gratuito.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

MOCLIN: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far.

We recommend you to park just at the entrance of the town. Parking is free.

Vernur collaborates with many town councils in regulating traffic in their municipalities, avoiding the collapse of some areas, which would cause “Tourismphobia”, while facilitating visitor access to both parking and historic centres.

MOCLIN: Todos los monumentos se encuentran en el casco histórico. El castillo y la Encarnación en el cerro que domina el pueblo y la Fuente Vieja justo a la entrada.

La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 1.100 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio de cuestas.

Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

MOCLIN: All the monuments are in the historic centre. The castle and La Encarnación are in the hill that dominates the village, and the Vieja Fountain just at the entrance.

The maximum distance at the ends of this visit are 1,100 m. The visit takes place through a space with slopes.

MOCLIN: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de tierra y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona muy desnivelada. Hay bordillos en las aceras.

Acceso no factible con silla de ruedas al interior de los monumentos, las iglesias tienen escalinata en Moclín.

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

MOCLIN: As for the firm we have (dirt and cement roads). The firm is strong and compact. Regarding the unevenness, it is an uneven area. There are curbs on the sidewalks.

Access not feasible with a wheelchair inside the monuments, churches have steps in Moclín.

MOCLÍN: En la carretera de Olivares se encuentra un área recreativa con un amplio merendero. Por la carretera de Tiena la Baja tenemos un mirador con vistas preciosas de Moclin, está indicado con un letrero blanco “Mirador”, incluso tiene un pequeño merendero.

No nos cansamos de recordar que uses calzado cómodo, ropa adaptada al clima, un buen sombrero y una mochila ligera de peso, con agua para hidratarte.

MOCLÍN: On the road to Olivares there is a recreational area with a large picnic area. On the road to Tiena la Baja we have a viewpoint with a beautiful views of Moclín, it is indicated with a white sign “Mirador”, it even has a small picnic area.

La atalaya de Porqueriza es una torre de planta circular, maciza hasta la mitad, con el suelo a 5 metros de altura. Cronología nazarí del siglo XIV. Otras atalayas son las de la Solana y la de la Gallina.

Además hay que citar las cuevas de Matalmuerzo (Neolítica), la de Corcuera (con escenas de caza), y las de la Araña y Vereas; así como los dólmenes y tumbas excavadas en la roca de Tozar.
