CASTILLO (MOCLÍN)

Sobre el cerro que domina el pueblo tenemos un castillo impresionante, con murallas que rodean el castillo. El castillo de Moclín es del siglo XIII y se construyó para defender el Reino nazari de Granada, sería conquistado por los Reyes Católicos. Se adapta a la topografía del terreno, dispone de aljibe y tiene torre de homenaje.

VISITA : Horario los sábados y domingos a las 11:00 y a las 19:00, entrada 2,50 €.

CASTLE (MOCLÍN)

On the hill that dominates the town we have an impressive castle, with walls that surround the castle. The castle of Moclin is from the 13 th century and was built to defend the Nazari Kingdom of Granada, it would be conquered by the Catholic Monarchs. It adapts to the topography of the land, has a cistern and has a tower of homage.

IGLESIA DE LA ENCARNACIÓN (MOCLÍN)

Dentro del castillo de Moclín esta la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, que se construyo sobre una mezquita con doble espadaña, con aire escurialense, comenzando las obras en el siglo XVI, con diseño de Diego de Siloe en (1543); lamentablemente, los daños de la Guerra Civil, han supuesto una fuerte restauración.

VISITA : Horario de verano, los laborable a las 20:00, domingos y festivos a las 12:30. Horario de invierno, los laborables a las 18:00 y domingos y festivos a las 12:30.

LA ENCARNACIÓN (MOCLÍN)

Inside the castle of Moclín is the church of Nuestra Señora de La Encarnación, which was built on a mosque with a double belfry, with a Escorial-style air, beginning the works in the 16 th century, designed by Diego de Siloe in (1543): Unfortunately, the damage of the Civil War has supposed a strong restoration.

VISIT : Summer timetable, workdays at 20:00, Sundays and holidays at 12:30. Winter timetable, workdays at 18:00 and Sundays and holidays at 12:30.

FUENTE (MOCLÍN)

La fuente vieja de Moclín es una fuente del siglo XVI, construida en estilo renacentista, permitía el suministro de agua a los habitantes de Moclín y a los viajeros. En la estructura sobresalen los grandes sillares de piedra, el frontón superior y la pila para abrevadero de ganado.

VISITA : Visita libre.

FOUNTAIN (MOCLÍN)

The old fountain of Moclín is a fountain of the 16 th century, built in Renaissance style, it allowed the water supply to the inhabitants of Moclín and to the travelers. In the structure stand the large stone ashlars, the upper pediment and the pile for cattle trough.

VISIT : Free visit.

El castillo de Montefrio es una construcción que tiene 2 recintos, el recinto inferior tiene 6 torres de planta semicircular, sirvió de sector de vivienda a la población nazarí; mientras el recinto superior ha sido muy reformado tras la conquista castellana en (1486), con una vivienda señorial y una iglesia.

VISITA : El horario de verano es de martes a sábado (12:00 a 14:00), y domingos (12:00-14:00 y 17:00-19:00). El horario de invierno es de martes a sábado (12:00-14:00) y domingos de 12:00-14:00 y 16:00-18:00). Entrada 2,50 €.

The castle of Montefrío is a building that has 2 enclosures, the lower enclosure has 6 semicircular towers, served as a housing sector for the Nasrid population; while the upper enclosure has been very reformed alter the Castilian conquest in (1486), with a stately home and a church.

VISIT : Summer timetable is Tuesday-Saturday (12:00 to 14:00) and Sundays (12:00-14:00 and 17:00-19:00). The winter timetable is Tuesday-Saturday (12:00 to 14:00) and Sundays (12:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:00). Tickets € 2.50.

LA ENCARNACIÓN (MONTEFRIO)

La iglesia de la Encarnación de Granada, es un edificio del siglo XVIII, de estilo neoclásico, obra del arquitecto gallego Lois de Monteagudo, sin duda esta inspirada en el Panteón de Agripa de Roma. En la fachada puede verse la inscripción conmemorativa, todo coronado por un frontón triangular. El interior con sus 30 m (98,4 ft) de altura es un espacio de grandes dimensiones, sobrecogedor.

LA ENCARNACIÓN (MONTEFRIO)

The church of La Encarnación de Granada, is a building of the 18 th century, neoclassical style, work of the Galician architect Lois de Monteagudo, no doubt is inspired by the Pantheon of Agrippa of Rome. On the facade you can see the commemorative inscription, all crowned by a triangular pediment. The inside with its 30 m (98.4 ft) of height is a space of great dimensions, overwhelming.

ACCESO A LOJA :

Acceso desde Granada coger el camino a Córdoba por la N-423 y en Puerto Lope, se ubica la carretera a Moclín y un poco más adelante (dirección Córdoba) el camino a Montefrío.

Todos los monumentos se ubican en el casco histórico.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS :

Acceso no factible con silla de ruedas al interior de monumentos, las iglesias tienen escalinata en Moclín y Montefrío.

ACCESS TO LOJA :

Access from Granada take the road to Córdoba on the N-423 and in Puerto Lope, the road to Moclín is located and a little further on (direction Córdoba), the road to Montefrio.

All the monuments are located in the historic center.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED :

Access not feasible with a wheelchair inside the monuments, churches have steps in Moclín and Montefrio.
