AYUNTAMIENTO DE OÑATI

El ayuntamiento de Oñate es un palacio vasco con 3 plantas, la inferior es un pórtico de arcos rebajados, la segunda y la tercera planta tienen balcones con mensulas, rematándose el edificio con un frontón engalanado con un bonito escudo; es un edificio del siglo XVIII de estilo Rococó, obra de Martín de Carrera.

TOWN HALL OF OÑATI

The Town Hall of Oñate is a Basque palace with 3 floors, the lower one is a portico with reduces arches, the second and third floors have balconies with corvels, the building finished off with a pediment adorned with a beautiful coat of arms; is an 18 th century building, Rococo style, the work of martín de Carrera.

IGLESIA DE S. MIGUEL DE OÑATI

La Iglesia de San Miguel de Oñate tiene sus orígenes en el siglo XIII (pero poco conserva de este momento), en los siglos XV y XVI se añaden las naves laterales y el claustro de estilo gótico, más tarde a finales del XVI se construyó la capilla de la Piedad de estilo renacentista; y en el siglo XVII se hizo la cripta, del siglo XVIII es la portada barroca y la torre neoclásica; sin duda un compendio de Historia del Arte.

CHURCH OF S. MIGUEL OF OÑATI

The church of san Miguel of Oñate has its origins in the 13 th century (but little preserved at this time), in the 15 th -16 th centuries the aisles and the Gothic cloister are added, later at the end of the 16 th century the Chapel of La Piedad of Renaissance style was built; and in the 17 th century the crypt was made, from 18 th century it is the Baroque portal and the neoclassical tower; undoubtedly a compendium of Art History.

UNIVERSIDAD DE OÑATI

La Universidad Sancti Spiritus de Oñate (Oñati en vasco), es un monumental edificio del siglo XVI, ha sido la única universidad vasca durante 4 siglos, es un edificio de estilo renacentista, la fachada es obra de Pierre Picart; en el interior el edificio se articula entorno al patio.

UNIVERSITY OF OÑATI

Sancti Spiritus University of Oñate (Oñati in basque) is a monumental building of the 16 th century, it has been the only Basque university for 4 centuries, it is a building of Renaissance style, the facade is the work of Pierre Picart, inside the building is articulated around the courtyard.
