Puebla de Guzmán: Monumentos y turismo


		LA PUEBLA DE GUZMAN: Los orígenes son muy remotos, pues se han encontrado restos romanos en algunas minas (Las Herrerías), además se conserva las ruinas de un castillo morisco. Pero el nombre parece que lo toma de Don Juan de Guzmán, conde de Niebla, desde el siglo XV. Después la Guerra de Restauración contra Portugal y la Guerra de Independencia contra Francia fueron dos episodios muy negativos para la localidad. La Puebla de Guzmán tiene hoy en día un interesante patrimonio, con sus molinos y el convento de María Auxiliadora. 		LA PUEBLA DE GUZMAN: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay espacio cerca de los molinos y para el pueblo en la calle Calvario (es muy amplia y larga). Parking gratuito. Se recomienda una visita por etapas (parando en cada monumento). La distancia en los extremos de esta visita es 500 m. La visita se desarrolla por un area plana (cuestas en los molinos). Esta tranquila y bonita localidad tiene rincones preciosos que esperan a que los descubras. Hay bordillos en las aceras. Con silla de ruedas visita exterior a los monumentos. Los molinos de Puebla de Guzmán se remontan al siglo XIX y son un interesante testimonio de la mecanización de los trabajos agrícolas, en el siglo XIX hubo hasta 18 molinos, hoy se conservan dos el de la Horca y el molino de Pozo de Bebé.

		INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA El Convento de María Auxiliadora (Puebla de Guzmán) se erigió a inicios del siglo XVIII, es de estilo barroco, aunque el diseño es muy austero, el complejo constaba de iglesia, claustro, dependencias conventuales y huerto.
