CASTILLOS DE MONZÓN

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de los templarios de Monzón; con altos muros y enfoscado. Es formidable la torre de homenaje. Del s. XII data gran parte de lo que vemos las murallas, torres, caballerizas, refectorio y celdas-dormitorios. Es de origen árabe del s. X, pero en el s. XI paso a manos cristianas; en el s. XII fue propiedad de la orden del Temple.

Horarios abiertos el martes de 15:00-17:30 y de miércoles a domingo de 10:00-14:00 y de 15:00-17:30. Entrada general de 3€.

CASTLE OF MONZÓN

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The castle of the Templars of Monzón; with high walls and plastered is formidable for the keep. It date back of 12th century, the walls, the towers, the stables, refectory and cell-bedrooms. It is of Arab origin from 10 th century, but in the 11th century passed to Christian hands. In the 12th century was property of the order of the Temple.

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La catedral de Santa María del Romeral (Monzón) fue construida entre los siglos XII y XIII, después sufrió diversas reformas en el siglo XVII, predominando el estilo mudéjar y el barroco; en el interior vemos 3 naves cubiertas con bóveda de cañón; mientras en el exterior destaca la alta torre de ladrillo.

The Cathedral of Santa María del Romeral (Monzón) was built between the 12 th ans 13 th centuries, more later it underwent several reforms in the 17 th century; predominating the Mudejar and Baroque styles; inside we see 3 naves covered with a barrel vault; while on the outside the high brick tower stands out.

IGLESIA DE SAN PEDRO (BINEFAR)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de San Pedro de Binéfar, data del siglo XIV, es de estilo gótico (aunque se cree que se construyó sobre una iglesia románica); en el interior destacan las bóvedas de crucería y el retablo de Damián Forment; en el exterior destacamos la torre que debe ser del siglo XVI y la portada de arquivoltas apuntadas.

El horario de misas es domingos y festivos a las 12:00.

The church of San Pedro de Binéfar, dating from the 14 th century, is of Gothic style (although it is believed that it was built on a Romanesque church); inside we stand out the ribbed vaults and the altarpiece of Damian Forment; outside we stand out the tower that must be of 16 th century and the cover of pointed archivolts
