		CASTILLO DE BENABARRE INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA El castillo debió de comenzar sus obras a finales del siglo X o inicios del siglo XI, por tanto, fue construido por los musulmanes, pasando a manos cristianas en (1062) con el rey Ramiro I de Aragón, tras el paso de la historia hoy pueden contemplarse hasta 3 recintos, restos de 2 iglesias y una gran cisterna. El castillo fue la sede central de la familia de los Condes de Ribagorza. HORARIOS-ENTRADA Horario de martes a viernes de 10:00 a 14:00 y de sábado a domingo de 10:00 a 14:00 y de 16:00 a 19:00 horas. ACCESO El castillo se ubica en el cerro que domina el pueblo. ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS No apto para silla de ruedas. Es un edificio románico-gótico de los siglos XII-XIII, erigida sobre una antigua iglesia (San Martín), destacando sus bonitos canecillos, la torre cuadrada del campanario de estilo gótico y la fachada con arcos de medio punto, con 6 arquivoltas y en el tímpano el pantocrátor románico.

CHURCH OF SANTA MARÍA DE BALDÓS - MONTAÑANA

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

It is a Romanesque-Gothic building from the 12 th -13 th century, erected on an old church (San Martín), emphasizing its beautiful corbels, the square tower of the belltower of Gothic style and the façade with semicircular arches with 6 archivolts and in the tympanum the Romanesque pantocrator.

El pueblo de Montañana esta rodeado de murallas de cronología muy controvertida, construida en mampostería como las casas del pueblo, dispone de un bonito arco de medio punto, que permitía el acceso a la ciudadela. En su perímetro sobresale la conocida como “Torre de la Cárcel” una elevada torre cuadrada de sillarejo.
