CASTILLO - ALCAUDETE

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Alcaudete se ubica en un alto cerro inexpugnable, en un punto estratégico clave de Andalucía oriental, tiene 6 torres y varios aljibes, dentro puedes visitar el Centro de Interpretación de la Orden de Calatrava; del antiguo castillo almohade nada queda pues fue reconstruido por los monjes calatravos cuando la plaza fue tomada por los cristianos en (1246).

The castle of Alcaudete is located on a high hill impregnable, in a key strategic point of eastern Andalusia, has 6 towers and several cisterns, also you can visit the Interpretation Center of the Order of Calatrava; of the old Almohad castle nothing is preserved, it was reconstructed by the Calatrava Order when the place was taken by the Christians in (1246),

El castillo de la Mota es una de las grandes fortalezas de Andalucía, dentro dispone de una alcazaba (del siglo XVI), viviendas, una iglesia (gótica de los siglos XVI-XVII), almacenes, bodegas etc…

HORARIOS-ENTRADA

Horario de otoño-invierno (15 de octubre a 31 de marzo) es de 10:00 a 17:30, sábados y domingos hasta las 18:00; mientras el horario de primavera-verano (1 de abril a 14 de octubre) es de 10:30 a 19:30. La entrada al castillo son 6 €.

Autumn-winter timetable (October 15th to March 31th) is from 10 am to 5,30 pm; Saturdays ans Sundays until 6 pm; while the spring-summer timetable (April 1st to October 14th ) is from 10,30 am to 7,30 pm. The ticket is €6.

CASTILLO - MARTOS

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Martos dispone de 2 fortalezas, el castillo de la Villa (o Fortaleza Baja) y el Castillo de la Peña (el más elevado), el castillo de la villa ubicado en un cerro rocoso fue el solar de la ciudad ibérica de Tucci y de un hisn andalusí, lo que hoy vemos es obra de la Orden de Calatrava, a través de murallas este castillo se unía al castillo de la Peña. El castillo de la Villa tiene torre de homenaje con 3 plantas cubiertas por bóvedas, en la planta baja hay un aljibe, y además una torre albarrana y la torre de la almedina del siglo XIII.

Martos has 2 fortresses, the castle of La Villa (or Lower fortress) and the Castle of La Peña (the upper), the castle of La Villa is located on a rocky hill was the site of the Iberian city of Tucci and an Andalusí hisn, today we see the works of Calatrava Order, throught walls this castle was attached to the castle of La Peña. The castle of La Villa has a tribute tower with 3 floors covered by vaults, in the ground floor there is a cistern, the set also had an advanced tower and the tower of La Almedina of 12th century.
