El Bierzo: Monumentos y turismo


		PONFERRADA: Ponferrada es una ciudad, capital de El Bierzo, ubicada sobre la confluencia de los ríos Boeza y Sil. Será la construcción de un puente en el (1082) por orden del obispo Osmundo de Astorga, lo que aporte el nombre a la ciudad, conocida desde entonces como Pons Ferrata (Puente de Hierro), con el castillo sobre un cerro, será una localidad estratégica. De la mano de Alfonso IX de León los templarios se establecieron en Ponferrada, desde el siglo XIII Ponferrada tiene murallas y con el Camino de Santiago la ciudad prospera notablemente. Hoy es una ciudad con muchos monumentos (castillos, iglesias, museos), zonas verdes y gran número de bonitas celebraciones y fiestas.		PONFERRADA: Ponferrada is a city, capital of El Bierzo, located on the union of Boeza and Sil rivers. It will be the construction of the bridge in (1082) by order of Bishop Osmundo de Astorga, which will give the name to the city, known since then as Pons Ferrata (Iron Bridge), with the castle located on a hill, will be a strategic town of the first order. Under the guidance of King Alfonso IX of León, the Templars settled in Ponferrada. Since the 13 th century, Ponferrada had walls and the Camino de Santiago makes the city prosperous. Today it is a city with many monuments (castles, churches, and museums), green areas and a large number of celebrations and festivals.


		PONFERRADA: Los accesos para la localidad de Ponferrada son: Por el Norte puedes acceder desde Toreno (y Villablino) por la carretera CL-631. Por el Este puedes acceder desde Astorga y Madrid por la carretera A-6 Por el Sur puedes acceder desde Priaranza por la carretera N-536. Por el Oeste puedes acceder desde A Coruña y Villafranca por la carretera A-6. Accede al centro de la ciudad y encontrarás cartelería para el castillo (mira nuestro plano para un fácil acceso).		PONFERRADA: The access by the locality of Ponferrada are: From the North you can access from Toreno (and Villablino) by the CL-631 road. From the East you can access from Astorga and Madrid by the A-6 road. From the South you can access from A Coruña and Villafranca by the road. From the West you can access from Priaranza by the N-536 road. Access to the centre of the city and quickly appear signposts for the castle (see our map for a easy access).


		PONFERRADA: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Tenemos 4 parking (P1, P2, P3 y P4). Solo P4 es de pago. La ubicación del aparcamiento recomendado es muy cercana . Te recomendamos no adentrarte mucho buscando aparcamiento pues el callejero es irregular, y las calles son estrechas; muchas de un único sentido. ZBE: Existen restricciones para los vehículos más contaminantes, según la etiqueta medioambiental. Hay previsto multar a los infractores. Consulta la Página Oficial del Ayuntamiento.		PONFERRADA: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far. We have 4 Parking (P1, P2, P3 and P4). Only P4 is a Paid Car Park. The location of the recommended car park is very next. We recommend you not to go too far, looking for parking because the irregular urbanism and the streets are narrow; many streets are one way or direction. 		PONFERRADA: La zona donde se concentran los monumentos es el (Centro Histórico). Ver plano Vernur. Aquí podemos ver algunos monumentos: (el castillo, el Museo de la Radio, la iglesia de San Andrés, la torre del Reloj y el Museo del Bierzo). La distancia máxima en los extremos de esta visita es 500 m. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio plano. Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte. 		PONFERRADA: En la ciudad. En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana. En el centro no hay bordillos en las aceras. Podrás entrar dentro del castillo con silla de ruedas (caminos de piedra y de grava) , pero no subir a las torres. La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información. HOTEL - En Ponferrada una buena opción para usuarios de silla de ruedas es el Hostal Nirvana, disponen de una habitación accesible, acceso al hostal sin barreras y parking sin aceras. 		Si quieres hacer un pequeño alto en el camino el *Parque del Temple* , es una opción muy buena se ubica cerca del castillo templario (unos 800 m.), tiene un bosque frondoso muy bonito, columpios para niños, fuentes de agua potable, bancos y mesas. No nos cansamos de recordar que uses calzado cómodo, ropa adaptada al clima, un buen sombrero y una mochila ligera de peso, con agua para hidratarte. 		PONFERRADA-POPULAR : Las Fiestas de la *Virgen de la Encina* (5-9 de septiembre), que es la patrona de Ponferrada son muy concurridas, con desfiles, carrozas, juegos, obras de teatro, bailes etc.. La *Semana Santa* de Ponferrada es una fiesta muy importante, está declarada de Interés Turístico Regional, las procesiones y demás actos son realizados a cargo de 4 hermandades. 		INFO HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA Es una joya del Medievo, que es Monumento Histórico Artístico desde (1924). Destacan sus bellas torres, con matacanes, podemos contemplar las caballerizas, los múltiples escudos y múltiples dependencias. Datado en los siglos XI-XV. ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS Entrada general 6 €. El horario de verano (1 abril – 14 octubre) es de martes a sábado de 10:00-14:00 y de 16:30-20:30 h., el domingo de 10:00-14:00. El horario de invierno (15 oct-28 febrero) es de martes a sábado es de 11:00-14:00 y 16:00-18:00, festivos y domingos es de 10:00-14:00; el lunes cierra.
