SOLSONA: Es la capital de la comarca del Solsonés, la localidad está atravesada por el río Negro. Solsona tiene monumentos muy bonitos como la catedral gótica, tramos de murallas con formidables portales, varios palacetes (Episcopal y el Llobera), el pozo del hielo, la torre de las horas etc…

También tiene museos, el más interesante es el Museo Diocesano. El casco histórico es pintoresco con casas de piedra, algunas con soportales, ideal para pasear.

OLIANA: Es una pequeña localidad del Alto Urgel, pero está muy próxima a Solsona, por ello la incluimos en esta ruta. La iglesia románica de San Andreu es uno de sus principales atractivos; pero también tenemos la iglesia de Santa Eulalia y un curioso pozo para almacenar hielo.

SOLSONA-OLIANA: El acceso principal se realiza por la carretera C-14 (Tárrega-La Seu d'Urgell), en esta carretera se ubican Oliana y Ponts, desde Bassella (en la C-14) se accede a Solsona.

A Solsona se accede muy bien desde la C-55 (desde Manresa).

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

OLIANA: En cuanto al firme tenemos (caminos de piedra y cemento). Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona de cuestas. Hay bordillos en las aceras. Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la iglesia de Sant Andreu (Oliana).

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

La catedral de Solsona es de estilo románico, gótico y barroco. Se data en los siglos XIII-XVII. En el exterior destaca el ábside románico y el campanario del siglo XVI.

Dentro sobresale el retablo barroco de la Virgen de la Merced y la talla románica de la Virgen del Claustro.

El portal del Pont (Solsona) es uno de los escasos testimonios que se conservan de la muralla medieval, la muralla se inició en los siglos XI-XII, pero al aumentar la población se hizo un segundo recinto en los siglos XIV-XV.

Aún conserva 3 torres (zona de Vall Calent) y el portal del Pont reconstruido en (1805).

La iglesia de Sant Andreu (Oliana) es de estilo románico. Se data en el siglo XI. Tiene una única nave. En el exterior destaca el ábside semicircular y la torre campanario cuadrada. Dentro sobresale la bóveda de cañón reforzada con arcos.
