ARBECA-TORNABOUS: En el corazón de Urgell podemos visitar diversos yacimientos ibéricos e incluso patrimonio industrial del siglo XIX, por una comarca esencialmente agraria (aceitera e industria porcina y avícola).

En la comarca de Les Garrigues, tenemos el yacimiento de Els Vilars (Arbeca) y en la comarca de Urgell el yacimiento de Moli d'Espigol (Tornabous).

Pero también recomendamos visitar el Salto del Duran (Golmés), una muestra de arqueología industrial.

Hay rutas de senderismo muy interesantes y atractivas. Algunas están señalizadas (carteles y balizas).

ARBECA-TORNABOUS: In the heart of the Urgell region we can visit several Iberian sites, even Industrial heritage from the 19 th century, for a essentially agricultural region (oil and pork and poultry industry).

In the region of Les Garrigues we have the archaeological site of Els Vilars (Arbeca) abd in the region of Urgell the site of Moli d'espigol (Tornabous).

Even we recommend you to visit the Waterfall of Duran (Golmes) an interesting Industrial Archaeological Element.

There are Hiking routes very interesting and amazing. Some routes are marked (signs and beacons).

ARBECA-TORNABOUS: Desde la A-2 se accede muy bien a todos los enclaves de esta ruta. Por la salida 493 accederemos a Duran y Arbeca y por la salida 495 a Tornabous (carretera de Seana).

Los yacimientos ibéricos (Els Vilars y Molí d'Espigol) tienen cartelería.

El acceso para el Salt del Duran se ubica por una pista junto al Canal de Urgell.

ARBECA-TORNABOUS: From the A-2 you can access very well to all the sites in this route. By the exit 493 you can access to Duran and Arbeca and by the exit 495 to Tornabous (road of Seana).

ARBECA: Tiene un amplio aparcamiento junto al yacimiento. Carretera estrecha de acceso.

DURAN: Hay entre los árboles suficiente espacio. Pista de acceso estrecha.

TORNABOUS: Hay poco espacio, pero se aparca bien.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

DURAN: Entre Vilanova de Bellpuig y Arbeca, justo donde se ubica el cartel del Canal de Urgel arranca la pista para visitar el Salt del Duran.

TORNABOUS: Por la carretera de Agramunt está el desvío a la derecha para el yacimiento.

Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

TORNABOUS: En Tornabous hay un parque con merendero y árboles, justo al nor-este de la localidad, ideal para hacer un alto en el camino.

No nos cansamos de recordar que uses calzado cómodo, ropa adaptada al clima, un buen sombrero y una mochila ligera de peso, con agua para hidratarte.

INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El yacimiento de Els Vilars conecta la cultura de Campos de Urnas y la cultura ibérica. Es un yacimiento de larga cronología (775-325 a.C.).

La formidable muralla de 5 m. de ancho y 5 m. de alto, tenía varias torres fortaleciendo el conjunto.

Además se doto de una barrera de piedras hincadas (chevaux-de-frise).

Como la majestuosa muralla, con sus poderosas torres, el foso inundable, la famosa barrera de piedras hincadas y las viviendas.

INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El yacimiento ibérico de Moli d'Espigol (Tornabous) cuenta con una muralla que rodea el poblado, una calle organizaba las cabañas yuxtapuestas.

El yacimiento se data entre el siglo VI a.C. y el II a.C. Tras el 200 a.C. el yacimiento fue abandonado progresivamente por la Segunda Guerra Púnica.

INFO HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El Salt del Duran es un pequeño salto de agua de 4,5 m, situado en el Canal de Urgell en el municipio de Golmés.

Curiosamente abasteció de electricidad a una antigua fábrica (La Forestal de Urgell).

Al lado se conserva la caseta donde en el pasado estaba el alternador y la pilastra para los cables eléctricos.
