IGLESIA DE S. MARIÑA (SARRIA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de Santa Mariña de Sarria es un edificio del siglo XII, completamente reformada en el siglo XIX, dispone de una alta torre con aguja piramidal y reloj, es un templo de buena sillería, con pórtico con columnas.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de misas es en verano (abril-septiembre) es los laborables a las 19:30 y festivos a las 12:00; en invierno es los laborables a las 9:00 y 18:00 y los festivos a las 12:00.

The church of Santa Marina de Sarria is a building from the 12 th century, completely renovated in the 19 th century, it has a large tower with a pyranidal spire and a clock, it is a temple of fine ashlar masonry, with a portico with columns.

MONASTERIO LA MAGDALENA (SARRIA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El Monasterio de la Magdalena de Sarria es un complejo de gran tamaño, poco se conserva del pequeño templo románico del siglo XIII (portada del claustro); después vemos restos de otros estilos, como la puerta gótica de Santa María Magdalena, así como la cabecera poligonal con ventanas ojivales y el claustro de fines del gótico; en el siglo XVIII sufrió una fuerte ampliación destacando la torre campanario.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The monastery of La Magdalena of Sarria is a large complex, little is preserved of the small Romanesque temple from 13 th century (facade of the cloister); then we see remains of other stykes; such as the Gothic door of Santa María Magdalena, as well as the polygonal head with ogival windows and the late Gothic cloister; in the 18 th century it underwent a strong expansion highloghting the bell tower.

La iglesia de San Salvador de Sarria es un edificio de estilo románico tardío (siglo XIII), de nave única con cabecera semicircular, construido en sillería se corona con una espadaña moderna.

The church of San Salvador of Sarria is a building of late Romanesque style (13 th century), of unique nave with semicircular head, built in ashlar masonry crowned with a modern bell gable.

MONASTERIO DE SAN JULIÁN (SAMOS)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El monasterio de San Julián de Samos, fue fundado en el siglo VI, la iglesia es barroca del siglo XVIII, en el retablo mayor (clasicista) vemos la efigie de San Julián, la fachada barroca tiene la clásica escalinata de acceso, tiene 2 claustros uno del siglo XVI (gótico) y otro del s. XVII (herreriano). Curiosamente el monasterio es colegio de Teología y Filosofía.

Horario de lunes a sábado de 09:30 a 12:30 y de 16:30 a 18:30, festivos y domingos de 12:45 a 13:30 y de 16:30 a 18:30. Entrada 3€.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The monastery of San Julian de Samos, was founded in the 16 th century, the church is baroque of the 18 th century, in the main altarpiece (classicist) we see the effigy of San Julian, the baroque facade has the classic access stairway, it has 2 cloisters one from 16 th c (Gothic) and other from 17 th c (Escorial style). Curiously, the monastery is a college of Theology and Philosophy.

Monday to Saturday from 9:30 to 12:00 and from 16:30 to 18:30, holidays and Sundays from 12:45 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 18:30. Tickets € 3.

A Sarria podemos acceder por la LU-546 (entre Monforte de Lemos y Nadela –pequeño pueblo al sur de Lugo capital-), mientras, Samos esta muy cerca de Sarria.

LOCATION

To Sarria we can access by the LU-546 (between Monforte de Lemos and Nadela –small town south of Lugo capital), while, Samos s very close to Sarria.

SARRIA: Con silla de ruedas acceso no factible, a Santa Mariña y a La Magdalena, ambas tienen escalones en la entrada. Acceso factible a San Salvador, acceso 1 m. (doble hoja).

SAMOS: Larga escalinata, acceso no factible.

SARRIA: Wheelchair access not feasible, Santa Mariña and La Magdalena, both have steps at the entrance. Access feasible to San Salvador, access 1 m (3,28 ft) (double door).

SAMOS: Long stairway, access not feasible.
