Tenemos los restos de una basílica visigoda, de planta rectangular, con doble ábside, con un magnífico baptisterio (para inmersiones totales); así como, un conjunto de tumbas. Cronología visigoda, siglos IV a VII.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

We have the remains of a Visigoth basilica, rectangular, with double apse, with a magnificent baptistery (for total inmersions); as well as a set of tombs. Visigothic chronology, from 4th to 7th centuries.

CIUDAD ROMANA DE LACIPO (CASARES)

Lugar muy escarpado con mucha vegetación, no apto para familias.

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Lacipo tiene un gran recinto amurallado, con estancias adosadas a la muralla, hay 2 aljibes y un gran edificio publico; también una necrópolis visigoda. Cronología de los siglos I a.C. al II d.C., y cronología visigoda para la necrópolis.

ROMAN CITY OF LACIPO (CASARES)

Very steep place with lots of vegetation, not suitable for families or retirees.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

Lacipo has walled enclosure, with stays attached to the wall, there are 2 cisterns and a large public building; also a Visigoth necropolis. Chronology of the 1 st century BC to 2 nd century AD, and Visigoth chronology for the necropolis.

UBICACIÓN

SAN PEDRO: Desde Málaga coge la A-7 o la N-340 dirección a La Línea de la Concepción, tras pasar Marbella, llegamos a San Pedro de Alcántara, la Iglesia esta junto a la playa, en medio de un bosque de eucaliptos. Para acceder al yacimiento pedir la llave en la oficina de turismo.

LACIPO: Acceso desde la A-7 o AP-7, desde Manilva (entre Estepona y la Linea de la Concepción), desde Manilva coger la A-377, antes de llegar a Casares un camino a la izquierda lleva a Lacipo, en el lugar llamado “El Torreón”.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

S. PEDRO: Accesible a sillas de ruedas.

LACIPO: Es imposible para silla de ruedas.

SAN PEDRO: From Málaga take the A-7 or N-340 direction La Línea de la Concepción, alter passing Marbella, we arrive at San Pedro de Alcántara, the church is next to the beach, in the middle of a forest of eucalpytus trees. To access the site you have to ask for the key at the Tourist Office.

LACIPO: Access from A-7 or AP-7 from Manilva (between Estepona and Línea de la Concepción), from Manilva take the A-377, before reaching Casares a road to the left leads to Lacipo, in the place called “El Torreón”.
