ALCAZABA (ANTEQUERA)

La alcazaba de Antequera, es un antiguo fortín romano y visigodo, transformado posteriormente por árabes y cristianos. Aunque tiene varas torres (cuadradas), la más conocida es la torre de homenaje (conocida como Papabellotas), construida en el siglo XIII, aunque el templete que hay en su parte superior es un añadido del s. XVI.

VISITA : Horario de lunes a domingo y festivos (10:00-18:00), los martes, excepto festivos (14:00-18:00). Entrada 6 €.
   

ALCAZABA (ANTEQUERA)

The citadel of Antequera, is an old Roman and Visigothic fort, later transformed by Arabs and Christians. Although it has several (square) towers, the best known is the tower of homage (known as Papabellotas), built in the 13 th century, although the temple that we see in its upper part is an addition of the 16 th century.

VISIT : Timetable from Monday to Sunday and holidays (10:00-18:00) on Tuesdays, except holidays (14:00-18:00). Admission € 6.
 
 

PUERTA LOS GIGANTES (ANTEQUERA)

La Puerta de los Gigantes es un arco de la muralla que se data a finales del siglo XVI, obra de Francisco de Azurriola; la puerta se construyó en la misma muralla árabe. Es un arco de medio punto es de dovelas muy alargadas de arenisca, fue creado en un muro de 2 metros (6,56 ft) de grosor de mampostería.

VISITA : Visita exterior, sin entradas, sin horarios.
   

GIANTS' GATE (ANTEQUERA)

The Giants' gate is an arch of the wall dating from the late 16th century, work of Francsco de Azurriola; the door was built on the same Arab wall. It is a semicircular arch is made of very elongated voussoirs of sandstone, was created in a wall of 2 m. (6.56 ft) of thickness of rubblework.

CARMELITAS (ANTEQUERA)

En El Convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas, edificio del siglo XVII, de estilo barroco, podemos admirar un fantástico museo, entre sus objetivos además de mostrar la vida carmelita, esta el de contribuir a la vida cultural de Antequera, entre sus colecciones podemos destacar “La Dolorosa” de Pedro de Mena y la “Virgen de Belén” de Luisa Roldán.

CARMELITAS (ANTEQUERA)

STA. MARÍA (ANTEQUERA)

La Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de Antequera es un edificio muy monumental, se data a mediados del siglo XVI, la fachada es plateresca, dentro son muy bonitas las capillas de estilo mudéjar, mientras la capilla mayor es de estilo gótico-mudéjar.

VISITA : Horario de verano de lunes a sábado de 10:00 a 19:00, domingos de 10:30 a 15:00. Horario de invierno (19 de septiembre a 31 de marzo) de lunes a sábado y festivos de 10:30-17:30 y domingos de 10:30 a 15:00. Entrada 3 €.
   

SANTA MARIA (ANTEQUERA)

The Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor de Antequera is a very monumental building, dating from the mid-16 th century, the facade is plateresque, inside are very beutiful chapels Mudejar style, while the main chapel is Gothic-Mudejar style.

VISIT : Summer timetable from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00, Sunday from 10:30 to 15:00. Winter timetable (September 19 to March 31) from Monday to Saturday and holidays from 10:30-17:30 and Sundays from 10:30 to 15:00. Ticket € 3.
 
 

TERMAS ROMANAS (ANTEQUERA)

Las termas romanas de Antequera se datan entre los siglos I d.C. y el V d.C., son los restos más importantes de la romana Antikaria, en las termas se han podido identificar las distintas estancias termales: frigidarium, tepidarium y caldarium; así como una piscina o natatio; mientras los mosaicos están cubiertos por motivos de conservación.

VISITA : Visita exterior, sin horario y sin entrada.

   

ROMAN BATHS (ANTEQUERA)

The Roman baths of Antequera date from the 1 st century AD and the 5 th AD, are the most important remains of the Roman Antikaria, in the thermal baths have been able to identify the different thermal stays: frigidarium, tepidarium and caldarium; as well as a swimming pool or natatio; while the mosaics are covered for conservation reasons.

Se puede acceder a Antequera por la A-92 (Sevilla-Granada) y por la A-45 (Córdoba-Málaga).

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS :

Con silla de ruedas puedes ver las termas desde el exterior, entrar en la Real Colegiata, ver el exterior de la Alcazaba y de la Puerta de los Gigantes, mientras en la entrada al Museo hay un pequeño escalón.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED :

With a wheelchair you can see the Roman baths from the outside, enter to the Royal Collegiate, see the outside of the Alcazaba and the Giants' Gate, while at the entrance of the Museum there is a small step.
