La citania de Santa Lucia (Viana do Castelo) es un castro galaico-portugués, conserva murallas, viviendas circulares (algunas con vestíbulo de entrada), estructuras rectangulares etc…, también dispone de una pequeña sala de exposición.

HILLFORT Sª LUCIA (VIANA DO CASTELO)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The citadel of Santa Lucia (Viana do Castelo) is a Glician-Portuguese hillfort, preserves walls, circular cottages (some with entrance hall), rectangular structures etc..., also has a small Museum.

SANTUARIO Sª LUCIA (VIANA DO CASTELO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El santuario de Santa Lucia (Viana do Castelo), es un templo neobizantino del siglo XX (obra del arquitecto Miguel Ventura Terra), muy interesantes son las pinturas de la techumbre. Se puede disfrutar de unas vistas espectaculares de Viana do Castelo desde la bóveda a la que se accede o por escalera o por ascensor.

Horario de abril a septiembre (8:00-19:00) y en octubre-marzo (8:00-17:00).

SANCTUARY Sª LUCIA (VIANA DO CASTELO)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The sanctuary of Santa Lucia (Viana do Castelo) is a neo-Byzantine temple of the 20 th century (work of the archiect Miguel Ventura Terra), very interesting are the paintings of the roof. You can enjoy spectacular views of Viana do Castelo from the vault that is accessed or by stairs or by elevator.

MISERICORDIA (VIANA DO CASTELO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia da Misericordia de Viana do Castelo, es un bonito edificio del siglo XVIII; el interior sobresale por los mosaicos y azulejos de Antonio de Oliveira Bernades, el exterior con sus dos balcones con columnas antropomorfas y la heráldica llaman poderosamente la atención.

MIERICORDIA (VIANA DO CASTELO)

The church of Miericordia of Viana do Castelo, is a beautiful 18 th century building; inside stands out the mosaics and tiles by Antonio de Oliveira Bernardes, outside with its 2 balconies with anthropomorphic columns and the heraldry attract a lot the attention.

PAÇOS DO CONSELHO (VIANA DO CASTELO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Los Antigos Paços do Concelho, son un edificio del siglo XVI, construido por orden de Don Manuel I; es un edificio de silleria de granito, en la planta baja los arcos son apuntados, sobre la ventana central se coloco el escudo real, en lo alto vemos una línea de almenas.

PAÇOS DO CONSELHO (VIANA DO CASTELO)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The oldest Paços do Concelho, is a building of the 16 th century, built by order of Don Manuel I, it is a granite building, on the ground floor the arches are pointed, on the central window the Royal shield is places on top we see a line of battlements.

CATEDRAL (VIANA DO CASTELO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La catedral de Viana do castelo, es un templo del siglo XV, de estilo gótico, en el exterior destaca sobre todo la fachada con sus dos torres almenadas, la portada es gótica con arquivoltas, con un gran rosetón; en el interior destacan las tumbas y la heráldica.

CATHEDRAL (VIANA DO CASTELO)

The cathedral of Viana do castelo is a temple of the 15 th century, of gothic style, outside it emphasizes mainly the facade with its 2 crenellated towers, the cover is Gothic with archivolts, with a large rose window; inside, the tombs and the heraldry stand out.

ANTA (VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA)

El anta de Barrosa (Vila Praia de Ancora) es una estructura megalítica del periodo Neolítico (III milenio a.C.), que se conserva a las afueras de Vila Praia de Acora (justo detrás de una tapia de piedra).

DOLMEN (VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA)

The Barrosa dolmen (Vila Praia de Ancora) is a megalithic structure from the Neolithic period (III millenium BC), which is preserved on the outskirts of Vila Praia de Acora (just behind a stone wall).

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA: Se ubica en la N-13, al anta se va bien por la carretera de Lanheses.

VIANA DO CASTELO: Viana do Castelo se ubica en la N-13, por la N-202, puedes conectar con las autopistas de peaje A-28 (Caminha-Porto) y la A-27 (Santa Marta de Portuzelo-Ponte de Lima).

La citania de Santa Lucia y el santuario de Santa Lucia se ubican sobre el monte que hay al norte de la ciudad. Los demás monumentos se ubican en el casco histórico, ver el plano para ubicarse.

VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA: It is located on the N-13, the highway goes well on the road of Lanheses.

VIANA DO CASTELO: Viana do Castelo is located on the N-13, on the N-202, you can connect with the toll motorways A-28 (Caminha-Porto) and the A-27 (Santa Marta de Portuzelo-Ponte de Lima).

The citadel of Santa Lucia and the Sanctuary of Santa Lucia are located on the mountain to the north of the city. The other monuments are located in the historic center, see the map to be located.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA: Acceso factible, por un camino de tierra.

VIANA DO CASTELO: Acceso factible a la citania de Santa Lucia (hay una pasarela), al santuario de Santa Lucia (hay una rampa lateral), acceso factible a los Paços do Concelho. No es factible a la iglesia de la Misericordia (escalones) y a la catedral (escaleras)

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED

VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA: Access feasible, by a dirt road.

VIANA DO CASTELO: Access feasible to Santa Lucia citania (there is a walkway), to the sanctary of Santa Lucia (there is alateral ramp), feasible access to the Paços do Concelho. It is not feasible to the church of Mercy (steps) and to the cathedral (stairs).
