CASTRO DE SANTA TECLA (A GUARDA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Es uno de los castros más espectaculares de la península ibérica. El yacimiento dispone de una muralla de piedra de 1,60 metros de grosor máximo, con cabañas circulares (son raras las rectangulares), muchas cabañas presentan vestíbulo de acceso, con bancos, hogares y hornitos. Datación siglo I a.C. y I d.C., Aquí excavaron Cayetano de Mergelina, Manuel Fernández Rodríguez, Alfredo García Alen y Montserrat García Lastra Merino.

ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS

El horario es en primavera (Abril-junio) de 10:00-20:00; en verano (julio-agosto) de 9:00-21:00; en septiembre de 10:00-20:00, en octubre es de 10:00-19:00, en invierno (Noviembre a febrero) es de 11:00-17:00 y en marzo de 12:00-17:00; abre todos los días menos el lunes. El acceso al castro es libre. Tarifa 1 €.

HILLFORT OF SANTA TECLA (A GUARDA)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

Is one of the most spectacular hillforts in Iberian Peninsula. The site has a stone wall of 1,60 meters (5 ft) of maximum thickness, with circular huts (rare are the rectangulars); many huts have a access vestibule, with benchs, hearths and beautiful furnaces. Dated between 1 st century BC and 1 st century AD. Here dug Cayetano de Mergelina Manuel Fernández Rodriguez, Alfredo García Alen and Montserrat Garcia Lastra Merino.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

The hours is in spring (April-June) from 10am to 8pm; in summer (July-August) from 9am -9pm; in September from 10am to 8pm; in October is from 10am to 7pm; in winter (November-February) is from 11am to 5pm and in March is from 12am to 5pm; it opens every day except Monday. Access to hillfort is free. General rate € 1.

El fuerte de San Lorenzo en Goian, es una construcción del siglo XVII, está construido con sillería y mampostería, en el siglo XIX fue subastado y paso a manos privadas, hoy en día hay una abundante vegetación que lo cubre todo.
