SANTUARIO DE FÁTIMA

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Arquitectónicamente el santuario de Fátima dispone de una gran basílica de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, de la rectoría, de la Capilla de las Apariciones, del Recinto de Oración, de la Casa de Retiros de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, de la Casa de Retiros de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.

En el centro tenemos una gran plaza de Pio XII, además tenemos el albergue del Peregrino, el Centro Pastoral Pablo VI y la iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad. Son todos edificios del siglo XX con un aire neoclásico y neobarroco.

ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS

Existen dos puestos de información uno el del Santuario (junto a la capilla de las Apariciones) en el que los horarios de verano (mayo-octubre) son de lunes a sábado de 9:00-18:30 y el domingo de 9:00-18:00 y el horario de invierno (noviembre-abril) es de lunes a sábado de 9:00-18:00 y el domingo de 9:00-17:30.

El otro puesto de información es el de Aljustrel (junto a la casa de Lucia), con horario de verano (mayo-octubre) de lunes a sábado de 9:00-13:00 y 14:00-18:00, domingos de 9:00-13:00 y de 13:30-17:30, el horario durante el invierno (noviembre-abril) es de lunes a domingo de 9:00-13:00 y de 13:30-17:30.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

Architecturally the sanctuary of Fátima has a large basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, the rectory, the Chapel of Apparitions, the Prayer Hall, the Retreat House of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the Retreat House of Nossa Senhora das Dores.

In the center we have a large square of Pius XII, in addition we have the hostel of the Pilgrim, the Paul VI Pastoral Center and the church of the Holy Trinity. This building are from 20 th century with a neoclassical and neo-Baroque air.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

There are 2 information stands, one for the Santuary (next to the chapel of the Apparitions), where the summer timetable (May-October) is from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8,30 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm; the winter timetable (Novenmber-April) is from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5,30 pm.

The other information post is Aljustrel (together to Lucia's house) with summer timetable (May-October) from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm; Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm and 1,30 pm to 5,30 pm; the winter timetable (November-April) is from Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 1,30 pm to 5,30 pm.

ACCESO

Se ubica muy cerca de la ciudad de Leiria (25 Km.), en el centro de Portugal entre Lisboa (120 Km.) y Oporto (180 Km.). Hay mucha cartelería.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

La accesibilidad es muy alta, pero existen puntos donde con silla de ruedas no se puede entrar.

LOCATION

It is located very close to the city of Leiria to 25 Km (15,5 miles) in the center of Portugal between Lisbon (120 Km = 74 miles) and Porto (180 Km = 111 miles). There is a lot of signage.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

The accessibility is very high, but there are points where you can't enter with wheelchair.
