MURALLAS (BEJAR)

Las murallas de Béjar se conservan tan solo parcialmente, en el sector más occidental, en la parte alta de la ciudad puede verse un muro con torreones, y admirar uno de los accesos; la muralla es de sillería y conserva el almenado.

La iglesia de Santiago de Béjar (actual Museo de Arte Sacro) es un edificio de estilo románico, construido en sillarejo, parcialmente enfoscado, la planta es de torre cuadrada fue reformada en el siglo XVI, en el interior hay que admirar los bellísimos sepulcros funerarios.

CHURCH OF SANTIAGO (BEJAR)

La iglesia de Santa María de Béjar, es un edificio románico-mudéjar de ladrillo, se data en el siglo XII, aunque la torre de sillería de granito es del siglo XIII, más tarde tuvo que ser reformada en tiempos de los Zúñiga (grandes mecenas de Béjar), en pleno siglo XVI, dentro puede admirarse una amplia colección de retablos y tallas predominantemente barrocas.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The church of Santa María de Bejar is a Romanesque-Mudejar brick building; dating from the 12 th century, although the tower of granite ashlar masonry is from 13 th century, later had to be reformed in the time of the Zuñiga (great patrons of Béjar), in the middle of the 16 th century, inside you can admire a wide collection of altarpieces and basically baroque carvings.

El Museo Judío de Béjar, es una iniciativa de Don David Melul, una destacada personalidad del mundo judaico en España, se ubica en una casa del siglo XV de estilo gótico, y trata de hacer un repaso por el pasado judío de Béjar, con una perspectiva histórica.

JEWISH MUSEUM (BEJAR)

MUSEO DEL TEXTIL (BEJAR)

El Museo del Textil de Béjar es sin duda un gran homenaje al pasado textil de esta ciudad salmantina, podemos hacer un recorrido por todo el ciclo textil, admirar algunas manufacturas del complejo fabril y conocer el funcionamiento de las diferentes máquinas.

El Palacio Ducal de Béjar es un majestuoso edificio, construido por los Zúñiga en el siglo XVI, es de estilo renacentista, tiene aspecto de fortaleza, pues en cada lado pueden verse 2 gruesos torreones, en el interior hay un patio con varios pisos, con columnas jónicas.

DUCAL PALACE (BEJAR)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The Ducal Palace of Béjar is a majestic building, built by the Zúñiga in the 16 th century, it is of Renaissance style, it looks like a fortress, because on each side you can see 2 towers, inside there is a courtyard with several floors, with Ionic columns.

La iglesia de El Salvador (Béjar) es una construcción de fines del siglo XII y comienzos del siglo XIII, de estilo gótico; es muy notable el ábside de sillería de granito, también hay que admirar la fachada; hay que advertir que el templo tiene reformas del siglo XVII y XVIII.
