CASTILLO DE CUELLAR

El castillo de los Duques de Alburquerque tiene un magnifico patio de armas, entrada blasonada, bodega, armería y artesonados. Cronología de los siglos XIII al XVIII, con predominio de elementos del siglo XVI (góticos y renacentistas). El castillo estaba unido a las murallas, Cuellar tuvo 2 recintos, pudieron iniciarse con Alfonso VI en el siglo XI, pero la inmensa mayoría de trabajos se desarrollo entre los siglos XII y XVI, las murallas conservan varias puertas.

CASTLE OF CUELLAR

The castle of the Dukes of Alburquerque has courtyard, entrance emblazoned, cellar, armory and coffered ceilings. Chronology of the 13 th – 18 th centuries, with a lot of elements from 16 th c., (Gothic and Renaissance). The castle was linked to the walls, Cuellar had 2 enclosures, they could start with Alfonso VI in the 11 th century, but the vast majority of works developed between the 12 th and 16 th centuries, the walls retain a number of doors.

IGLESIA DE SAN PEDRO DE CUELLAR

Un aire a fortaleza tiene la iglesia de San Pedro que se remota al siglo XI, tiene portada románica y bóvedas góticas. En Cuellar hay muchas iglesias, destacamos la iglesia de San Esteban, una iglesia mudéjar del siglo XIII, con un bellísimo ábside con arquería ciega, en su interior sobresale e retablo neoclásico.

CHURCH OF SAN PEDRO DE CUELLAR

IGLESIA DE EL SALVADOR DE CUELLAR

Muy original es la iglesia del Salvador con sus arbotantes, es una iglesia mudéjar del siglo XIII, en el interior destaca la virgen de la Palma, una virgen gótica del siglo XIV.

Por ultimo citaremos la iglesia de Santa Maria de la Cuesta, de origen románico, se cree fue un antiguo convento templario.

CHURCH OF EL SALVADOR DE CUELLAR

UBICACIÓN

Acceso por la carretera CL-601 (Segovia-Cuellar-Valladolid), castillo ubicado en el camino de Valladolid, en la parte alta del pueblo.

Cuellar es un pueblo muy grande, no es difícil perderse, las iglesias están diseminadas por toda la localidad, hay que estudiar el mapa..

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS

Interior del castillo complicado para las sillas de ruedas.

Acceso factible con silla de ruedas en las iglesias de San Esteban, San Salvador y Santa María.

LOCATION

Access by road CL-601 (Segovia-Cuellar-Valladolid), the castle is located on the road to Valladolid, in the upper part of the village itself.

El castillo de Coca es un imponente castillo mudéjar, con 2 recintos amurallados, torre de homenaje; construido en ladrillo, con un foso de grandes dimensiones que en origen estuvo lleno de agua, en las esquinas posee 4 torres con garitones y matacanes; en el interior destacan las cárceles medievales, las pinturas y bóvedas de los aposentos.

ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS

Horario de 10:30-13:00 y de 16:30-18:30 (días laborables), y de 11:00-13:00 y de 16:00-18:00 (sábados, domingos y festivos). Entrada general con un coste de 2,70 €, entradas reducidas para jubilados, grupos, niños etc… www.castillodecoca.com

COCA'S CASTLE

The castle of Coca is an amazing Mudéjar castle, with 2 walled enclosures, a Keep tower; built in brick, with a large moat that in the past was filled with water, in the corners has 4 polygonal towers, with watchtowers and machicolations; inside are amazing the Medieval prisons and the paintings and vaults of the rooms are very interesting.

MURALLAS DE COCA

También pueden visitarse la muralla vaccea, la muralla medieval, la puerta de la villa, el busto del emperador Teodosio I y la Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor.

ACCESO

Para acceder a Coca podemos coger la CL-601 (Segovia-Valladolid) y en Navalmanzano coger la carretera a Navas de Oro y Coca; o bien desde Arévalo en la N-VI coger el camino a San Cristóbal de la Vega.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS

El usuario de silla de ruedas podrá visitar el entorno del castillo, pero por la presencia de distintos niveles conectados por escaleras, no es factible la visita.

LOCATION

To access Coca we can take the CL-601 (Segovia-Valladolid) and Navalmanzano take the road to Navas de Oro and Coca; or from Arevalo on the N-VI take the road to San Cristobal de la Vega.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

The wheelchairs users will be able to visit the outskirts of the castle, but due to the presence of different levels connected by stairs, the visit isn't feasible.
