CASTILLO DE TUREGANO

El castillo de Turegano (datado en el s. XV, buena parte es obra del obispo Arias Dávila) es un edificio muy monumental, de sillarejo, la entrada dispone de buhera, conservando torres, almenas, matacanes.

The castle of Turegano (dated in the 15 th century, a good part is the work of Bishop Arias Dávila) is a very monumental building, made of masonry, the entrance has a murder hole, preserving towers, battlements, machicolations etc...

IGLESIA DE S. MIGUEL

Dispone de Iglesia en su recinto interior, cuya espadaña sobresale sobre las murallas, la iglesia de San Miguel es un edificio de estilo románico del siglo XII y XIII; del siglo XII son las naves laterales y del siglo XIII la nave central, con una excelente bóveda de cañón apuntada.

It has a church in its interior, whose belltower stick out over the walls, the church of San Miguel is a Romanesque building of the 12 th and 13 th century; from 12 th century are the aisles, and from the 13 th century the nave, with an excellent pointed barrel vault.

MURALLA DE TUREGANO

Por otro lado, la muralla de origen árabe fue reconstruida después por los cristianos y se data en el siglo XII. Se encuentra en estado ruinoso y solo sobresalen las torres que fueron realizadas en tapial.

On the other hand, the wall of Arab origin was rebuilt later by thye Christians dates back to the 12th century. It is in a ruined state and only the towers that were built in rammed earth stand out.

El castillo de Turegano abre de miércoles a domingo de 11:00-14:00 y de 16:30-19:30, la entrada general son 2 €.

ACCESO-ACCESIBILIDAD

Acceso por la carretera CL-601 (Segovia-Cuellar-Valladolid), tras unos kilómetros desde Segovia, tomar la CL-603 que va a Turegano, el castillo esta junto al pueblo.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS

Acceso no factible para sillas de ruedas, el acceso se realiza por una corta escalinata.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

Castle of Turegano opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4,30 pm to 7,30 pm; the general rate is € 2.

LOCATION

Access by the CL-601 road (Segovia-Cuellar-Valladolid), after travelling a few Kms from Segovia, take the CL-603 that goes to Turegano, the castle is next to the village.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

Access not feasible for wheelchairs; access is made by a short stairway.

CASTILLO DE PEDRAZA

El castillo de Pedraza (siglo XIV, con reformas del XV y XVI), es una de las más bellas construcciones de la provincia, dispone de foso, gran torre de homenaje, aljibe y torres cuadradas; el castillo esta rodeado de una muralla de torres circulares, en la puerta puede verse el escudo de los Velasco. En este castillo estuvieron prisioneros los hijos de Francisco I de Francia y en 1926 el pintor Ignacio Zuloaga compro el castillo.

CASTLE OF PEDRAZA

The castle of Pedraza (14 th century, with reforms of the 15 th and 16 th century), is one of the most beautiful constructions of the province, has moat, large tower of tribute, cistern ans square towers; the castle is surrounded by a wall of cisrcular towers, at the door you can see the coat of arms of Los Velasco. In this castle the children of Francisco I of France were prisioners and in 1926 the painter Ignacio Zuloaga bought the castle.

IGLESIA DE SANTA MARÍA

Iglesia en estado ruinoso, la iglesia de Santa María es de estilo románico, en ella los duques de Frias (señores del castillo), celebraron importantes eventos, aunque conserva los muros exteriores, ha perdido la cubierta, su alta torre es uno de los mejores elementos constructivos. Solo es visitable su exterior.

The church is in ruinous state, the church of Santa Maria is of Romanesque style, in this temple Dukes of Frias (castle lords), celebrated important events, although it conserves the outer walls, has lost the cover, its high tower is one of the best construction elements. Only the outside can be visited.

PLAZA MAYOR DE PEDRAZA

Posiblemente una de las plazas más conocidas de España, por su frecuente aparición en trabajos cinematográficos, casi todas las casonas son del siglo XVI y XVII, sus balcones permitieron y permiten contemplar los festejos taurinos, en un lado se ubica la iglesia de San Juan Bautista, único templo que abre sus puertas en Pedraza.

MAYOR SQUARE OF PEDRAZA

Possibly one of the best-known squares in Spain, due to its frequent appearance in cinematographic works, almost all the mansions are from the 16 th and 17 th centuries, their balconies allowed and allow to contemplate the bullfighting festivities, on one side is the church of San Juan Bautista, the only temple that opens its doors in Pedraza.

ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS

El horario del castillo en verano es de 11:00-14:00 y de 17:00-20:00 y el horario de invierno es de 16:00-18:00. La tarifa general es de 6 € y para el museo de la torre 15 €. La cárcel tiene un horario de fines de semana de 11:30-14:00 y de 15:30-19:00 y entrada de 3 €. La Casa del Águila Imperial tiene un horario de viernes de 12:00-15:00 y de 16:00-19:00, sábados de 10:00-15:00 y 16:00-20:00 y domingos de 10:00-15:00.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

The timetable of tha castle in summer is from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm; and in winter is from 4 pm to 6 pm. The rates is € 6 and for the museum of the tower € 15. The prison has a timetable of weekends from 11,30 am to 2 pm and 5,30 pm – 7 pm and rate € 3. The Casa del Águila Imperial has a timetable of Fridays from 12 am to 3 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.

ACCESO-ACCESIBILIDAD

La mejor forma de acceder a Pedraza es por la N-110 (Segovia-Soria). Entrar por la puerta de la muralla seguir todo recto hasta el parking.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS

La villa en general es muy accesible a sillas de ruedas, pues no hay aceras ni barreras arquitectónicas, podrás acceder a casi todo, menos a la cárcel y a la torre de homenaje del castillo (escaleras). No es factible el acceso a la iglesia de Santa María, su estado ruinoso impide el acceso al público en general.

LOCATION

The best way to access Pedraza is by the N-110 (Segovia-Soria). Pass through the gate of the city wall go straight ahead until the parking.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

Generaly the town is very accessible for wheelchairs, because there aren't sidewalks or architectural barriers, you will be able to access almost everything, except to the prison and to the keep of the castle (stairs). Access to the church of Santa María is also not feasible, its ruinous state prevents access to the general public.

		CUEVA DE LOS ENEBRALEJOS (PRADENA) INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA La Cueva de los Enebralejos (Pradena) tiene Museo y estructuras musealizadas (cabañas). Las excavaciones han recuperado ajuares del Calcolítico datados entre (2210) y (1850) a.C., según sus excavadores Ruiz Argiles y Municio. ACCESO Para llegar hay que coger la N-110 desde Segovia y a 45 Km. encontraremos la cueva.		www.segoviaunbuenplan.com/monumentos		CAVE OF LOS ENEBRALEJOS (PRADENA) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION The Cave of Los Enebralejos (Pradena) has Museum and musealized structures (cabins). The excavations have recovered grave goods from the Chalcolithic dated between (2210) and (1850) BC., according to their excavators Ruiz Argiles and Municio. ACCESS: To get there you have to take the N-110 from Segovia and at 45 Km., you will find the cave.

El horario de verano (abril-septiembre) es de martes a viernes de 11:00-14:00 y de 16:30-20:00, sábados, domingos y festivos es de 11:00-14:00 y de 16:00-21:00, lunes cerrado. El horario de invierno (octubre-marzo) de martes a viernes es de 13:00-17:00, sábados, domingos y festivos es de 11:00-14:00 y de 15:00-19:30. Entrada general 6,20 €, hay entradas reducidas.
