CASA DE LOS LEONES (LORA DEL RIO)

La Casa de los Leones de Lora del Río es un edificio de estilo barroco, que data de (1765), se ubica entre las calles Federico García Lorca y Martínez Montañés. Aunque el edificio es de ladrillo, la portada se ejecuto en piedra, el dintel tiene un trazado mixtilíneo (barroco), en el entablamento vemos el escudo de la familia Montalvo sostenido por 2 leones rampantes.

HOUSE OF THE LIONS (LORA DEL RÍO)

The house of the lions of Lora del Río is a baroque building, dating from (1765), located between Federico García Lorca and Martínez Montañés streets. Although the building is made of brick, the façade was executed in stone, the lintel has a mixed profile (Baroque), in the entablature we see the Montalvo family shield supported by 2 rampant lions.

IGLESIA DE LA ASUNCIÓN (LORA DEL RIO)

La iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Lora del Río se levanta en el siglo XV, es de estilo gótico-mudéjar; tiene 3 naves, separadas por arcos góticos apuntados, con bóvedas estrelladas y armaduras de madera; mientras la fachada es gótico-mudéjar con arquivoltas y coronada con almenas caladas; finalmente la torre es del siglo XIX.

CHURCH OF LA ASUNCIÓN (LORA DEL RÍO)

The church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción of Lora del Río was built in the 15th century, it is of Gothic-Mudejar style, it has 3 naves, separated by pointed Gothic arches, with starry vaults and wooden armor; while the facade is Gothic-Mudejar with archivolts and crowned with openwork battlements; finally the tower is from the 19 th century.

CASTILLO (LORA DEL RIO)

El castillo de Lora del Río se ubica sobre un pequeño cerro en el sector occidental de este pueblo, se construyó en tapial, se encuentra muy arruinado, en una zona marginal de Lora del Río; jugo un papel destacado al controlar la navegación del Guadalquivir, entonces navegable hasta Córdoba.

The castle of Lora del Río is located on a small hill in the western sector of this town, it was built in tapial, it is very tuined, in a marginal zone of Lora del Río; played a prominent role in controlling the navigation of the Guadalquivir, then navigable to Córdoba.

El Ayuntamiento de Lora del Río se ubica en la plaza de España de este pueblo, es un edificio de finales del siglo XVIII, es una construcción barroca, con una gran torre y cúpula barroca de perfil semiesférico.

TOWN HALL (LORA DEL RÍO)

The town Hall of Lora del Río is located in the Plaza de España of this town, it is a building of the late 18 th century, it is a baroque building, with a large tower and baroque dome with hemispherical profile.

ACCESO A LORA DEL RIO :

Acceso por la N-436 (Córdoba-Sevilla) o desde la A-4 por la salida 482 de La Campana. Los enclaves se ubican en la zona SW del pueblo. SETEFILLA: Acceso desde Sevilla coger la N-IV hasta Carmona y allí la A-457 hasta Lora del Río, aquí hay que coger la SE-6102 que lleva a Setefilla primero y al cerro donde se ubica el yacimiento compartido por la Ermita de la Virgen de Setefilla.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS :

Con silla de ruedas visita factible para La Asunción (escalón en el acceso) y visita no factible solo el exterior para el Castillo (arruinado y escarpado), Ayuntamiento y Casa de los Leones. SETEFILLA: No visitable para los usuarios de sillas de ruedas.

ACCESS TO LOA DEL RÍO :

Access by the N-436 (Córdoba-Seville) or from the A-4 by the exit 482 of La Campana. The monuments are in the SW area of the town. SETEFILLA: Access from Seville, take the N-IV to Carmona and there take the A-457 to Lora del Rio, here take the SE-6102 that leads to Setefilla first and beyond stay the hermitage of the Virgin of Setefilla and the site.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED :

With a wheelchair we have a feasible visit to the church of La Asunción (step in the access) and not feasible only outside, for the Castle (ruined and steep), Town Hall and the Casa de los Leones. SETEFILLA: The site is not suitable for wheelchairs users.

ARVA (ALCOLEA DEL RÍO)

El yacimiento arqueológico de Arva, en Alcolea del Río es un yacimiento de época romana, se data entre los siglos I y IV d.C. y fue un importante centro productor de ánforas, producto clave para la exportación del aceite de la provincia romana de la Bética (Andalucía aproximadamente), las excavaciones de los años 80' permitieron recuperar 5 hornos y unas termas.

ARVA (ALCOLEA DEL RIO)

The archaeological site of Arva, in Alcolea del Río, is a site from the Roman era; dating between de 1 st and 4 th centuries AD., and it was an important center producing amphoras, a key product for the export of oil from the Roman province of La Bética (Andalusia approximately), the excavations of the 80's allowed the recovery of 5 ovens and a few hot baths.

POBLADO DE SETEFILLA (LORA DEL RIO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Tenemos un poblado tartésico, que se convirtió en yacimiento clave de referencia para la Edad del Bronce en Andalucía, nada vemos hoy en día de las excavaciones (directora Maria Eugenia Aubet), datadas del Bronce medio al mundo Ibérico, con vestigios medievales del siglo XI, cuando se construyó el castillo andalusí, del que pueden verse, torres, muros y un aljibe.

SITE OF SETEFILLA (LORA DEL RIO)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

We have a Tartessic settlement, which became like the key reference site for the Bronze Age in Andalusia, today we see nothing of the excavations (manager Maria Eugenia Aubet), dating from the Middle Bronze to the Iberian world, with Medieval vestiges of the 11th century, when the Andalusian castle was built, which can be seen, towers, walls and a cistern.
