VILA REAL: Se ubica en la región de Tras-Os-Montes, en el distrito de Vila Real, la ciudad se ubica en un cerro junto al río Corgo. Aunque en el municipio hay restos arqueológicos muy antiguos, al menos del Paleolítico, inclusive hay un yacimiento arqueológico romano (Panóias). La realidad es que la ciudad nació gracias a una fundación del rey Dinis en (1285). Desde el inicio comenzó a construirse la muralla que data de los siglos XIII-XIV. Más adelante la localidad prospero gracias a la viticultura. Tiene magníficos monumentos como la iglesia de São Antón, la catedral, la iglesia de São Pedro, el pelourinho o picota y el bellísimo palacio de Mateus. |

Por la A-4 (oeste) accedemos a Oporto. Por la A-24 (sur) vamos a Viseu, Lamego y Lisboa. PANÓIAS: Panóias es una localidad ubicada al sur de Vila Real, se accede muy bien por la salida 13 (Sabrosa) de la A-24, en la glorieta cruzar recto, dirección Constantim, hasta llegar a un Stop, allí girar a la derecha (pasas por debajo de la autopista) y a pocos metros aparece el cartel de Panóias a la izquierda. Para usuarios de silla de ruedas, acceso factible a la iglesia de San Pedro (un escalón); acceso no factible a la catedral de Vila Real (3 escalones en la entrada principal, el acceso lateral tiene un escalón). PANÓIAS: En cuanto al firme tenemos caminos de tierra y piedra. Pavimento recio y compacto. Respecto al desnivel es una zona plana, con ligera cuesta. Existe una pasarela metálica con la que podrás subir y contemplar algunos de los grandes bloques graníticos con grabados, escaleras y tumbas. |
