La torre de la Reina Mora de Cullera, es una construcción que data de los siglos XII-XIII; era el antiguo acceso al castillo árabe, aún hoy puede verse el arco de medio punto; la estructura esta construida con ladrillo y conserva el almenado.

The tower of Reina Mora of Cullera, is a building that dates back to the 12-13 th centuries, it was the ancient access to the Arab castle, even today you can see the round arch; the structure is built with brick and retains the battlemented sctructure

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de los santos Juanes de Cullera, era en origen un templo gótico de los siglos XIII-XIV, pero buena parte del templo actual se data en el siglo XVII; en el exterior destacamos la torre de planta cuadrad con reloj y la portada con arcos de medio punto y contrafuertes; en el interior destaca una única nave decorada con un estilo clásico y dorados.

The church of los Santos Juanes de Cullera, was originally a Gothic temple of the 13 th -14 th centuries, but much of the current temple is dated in the 17 th century; outside we stand out the tower of square plan with clock and the façade with round arches and buttresses; inside we stand out a single nave decorated with classic and golden style.

CASTILLO (CULLERA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo de Cullera se remonta al siglo X, a la dominación islámica; posiblemente en el siglo XIII los principales trabajos que hoy vemos; actualmente alberga un Museo Arqueológico, con piezas recuperadas en Cullera.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de abril a septiembre es de martes a domingo (10:00-13:00 y 17:30-20:30) y en invierno de octubre a marzo es de martes a domingo (10:00-14:00 y 16:00-18:00).

The castle of Cullera dates back to the 10 th century, to Islamic domination; possibly in the 13 th century the main works we see today; currently houses and Archaeological Museum, with pieces recovered in Cullera.

The timetable from April to September are from Tuesday to Sunday (10:00-13:00 and 17:30-20:30) and in winer from October to March is from Tuesday to Sunday (10:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:00).

La ermita del castillo de Cullera es un santuario adosado a la fortaleza árabe, es una construcción que data de fines del siglo XIX; es de estilo neo-romántico; en el exterior destacamos la torre campanario; en el interior destacan sobre todo las pinturas alusivas a la Virgen.

La iglesia de San Pedro de Sueca es un conjunto de construcciones de distintas épocas comenzando en el románico hasta el siglo XX; en el exterior destaca la portada estucada en el siglo XX con un gran óculo donde se encuentra la imagen de San Pedro; en el interior destaca la única nave con cúpula sobre tambor.

The church of San Pedro of Sueca is a group of buildings from different eras, beginnig in the Romanesque until the 20 th century; outside we stand out the stuccoed doorway in the 20 th century, with a large oculus where the image of San Pedro stay; inside we stand out the single nave with a dome on a drum.

La iglesia de la virgen de Sales de Sueca es una construcción que data del siglo XVII, donde se ubica la patrona de Sueca; en el exterior destaca la cúpula revestida de azulejos; en el interior destaca el altar mayor, las pinturas (escuela de Juan de Juanes). La virgen se llama de Sales, pues el campesino que la encontró se llamaba Andreu Sales, es una imagen de la Virgen es gótica del siglo XIV.

The virgin is called “de Sales”, because the peasant who found her was called Andreu Sales, this image of the Virgin is Gothic from 14 th century.

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

Podemos acceder a Sueca y Cullera desde la AP-7, o por la V-38; ambas carreteras arrancan desde la A-7 al sur de Valencia.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVALIDOS:

CULLERA: Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la Torre de la Reina Mora (escaleras); tampoco al santuario de la Virgen del Castillo (escalón) pero si es factible a la iglesia de los Santos Juanes (rampa colocada)

SUECA: Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la iglesia de San Pedro (escalón) ni a la iglesia de la Virgen de Sales (escalón).

   

ACCESS BY ROAD (CULLERA)

LOCATION

We can access to Sueca and Cullera from the AP-7 or by the V-38; both roads start from the A-7 south of Valencia.

ACCESS FOR HANDICAPPED

CULLERA: With a Wheelchair access is not feasible to the Tower of Reina Mora (stairs); not to the sanctuary of la Virgen del Castillo (step), but it is feasible to the church of Santos Juanes (ramp placed).

SUECA: With a Wheelchair access is not feasible to the church of San Pedro (step) or the church of la Virgen de Sales (step).
