MONASTERIO DE LA TRINIDAD - VALENCIA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El monasterio de la Santísima Trinidad es un convento fundado en (1242), más tarde en (1444) la reina Maria de Aragón (mujer de Alfonso el Magnánimo) ordeno que fuera ocupado por las clarisas al proyectar en este lugar su retiro; hoy en día el convento esta habitado por monjas de clausura, por tanto solo es visitable la iglesia y poco más, un edificio gótico con elementos renacentistas (tondo de cerámica italiana).

The monastery of the Holy Trinity is a convent founded in (1242), later in (1444) the queen Doña María of Aragón (Alfonso the Magnanimous' wife) She ordered that it was occupied by the Clarisas nuns when She projecting in this place the retirement; Today the convent is inhabited by cloistered nuns, therefore only the church is visited and little more, a Gothic building with Renaissance elements (tondo of italian ceramics).

MUSEO DE BELLAS ARTES - VALENCIA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia es una importantísima pinacoteca, enclavada en un edificio barroco muy monumental; dispone de colecciones de pintores medievales (Jacomart, Nicolau, Alcanyis), junto con pintores del siglo XVI (Juan de Juanes y Vicente Macip) y otros del siglo XVII (Ribalta, El Greco), incluso del XVIII-XIX como Goya.

HORARIOS-ENTRADA

Horario de lunes de 11:00 a 17:00, de martes a domingo de 10:00 a 19:00.

   

MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS - VALENCIA

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia is an important pinacoteca, located in a Baroque building very monumental, it has collections of medieval painters (Jacomart, Nicolau, Alcanyis), along with 16 th century paintes (Juan de Juanes and Vicente Macip) and others from the 17 th century (Ribalta, El Greco), even from the XVIII-XIX as Goya.

PLAZA DE TOROS (VALENCIA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La plaza de toros de Valencia es una construcción que data de mediados del siglo XIX, es de estilo neoclásico y neomudéjar, con una clara inspiración en la arquitectura romana (anfiteatros romanos), tiene 52 m. de diámetro en el ruedo y 108 m. de diámetro exterior; es obra del arquitecto valenciano Sebastián Monleón Estellés.

BULLRING (VALENCIA)

The bullring of Valencia is a building that dates from the mid-19th century, is neoclassical and neo-Mudejar style, with a clear inspiration in Roman architecture (Roman amphitheatres), has 52 m. (170.56 ft) of diameter in the ring and 108 m. (354.24 ft) of outside diameter; it is the work of the Valencian architect Sebastian Monleón Estellés.

El Ayuntamiento de Valencia es un monumental edificio palaciego de comienzos del siglo XX; con 5 torres visibles en la fachada, con un amplio palco sobre columnas, donde los alcaldes de Valencia dan la bienvenida a las fiestas de las fallas.

TOWN HALL (VALENCIA)

The town hall of Valencia is a monumental palatial building of the early 20 th century, with 5 visible towers on the façade, with a large box on columns, where the mayors of Valencia welcome the festivities of las Fallas.

IGLESIA DE SAN JUAN (VALENCIA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de San Juan de la Cruz de Valencia (antigua iglesia de San Andrés), es una construcción del siglo XVII; en el exterior destacamos la fachada con columnas salomónicas y la hornacina para San Andrés; en el interior destaca una única nave, con cabecera poligonal, con una bellísima decoración rococó.

HORARIOS- ENTRADA

El horario de misas es los laborables a las 19:30 y los festivos a las 19:30.

   

CHURCH OF SAN JUAN (VALENCIA)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The church of San Juan de la Cruz in Valencia (former church of San Andrés) is a building of the 17 th century, outside we stand out the façade with salomonic columns and the niche for San Andrés; inside there is a single nave with a polygonal head, with a beautiful Rococo decoration.

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

The timetable of Masses is working at 19:30 and holidays at 19:30.

 
 

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

Los usuarios de sillas de ruedas tienen 2 plazas reservadas en el parking público de Plaza de la Reina (cerca de la catedral).

Colocan una rampa para salvar los 2 escalones de la catedral y también es factible el acceso en el Museo de Bellas Artes.

Acceso no factible para la Lonja, las torres de Serranos y las torres de Quart.

Con silla de ruedas el acceso no es factible a la iglesia de San Juan de la Cruz (escalones). No es posible la circulación en la plaza de toros. Al Ayuntamiento la visita es limitada. Podrás acceder al Museo Nacional de Cerámica (Palacio del marques de Dos Aguas), pero la circulación interna no es sencilla.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

Possible entrance with wheelchair. Wheelchair users have a reserved space in the Public Parking of Plaza de la Reina (near of the cathedral).

Place a ramp to save 2 steps in the cathedral and also suitable the access to the Museum of Fine Arts.

Not suitable the access in the Lonja, in the towers of Serranos and in the towers of Quart.

With wheelchair access not feasible to the church of San Juan de la Cruz (steps). It isn't possible the circulation in the bullring of Valencia. In the Town hall the visit is restricted. You'll can to access to Pottery National Museum (Palace of marquis of Dos Aguas), but inside circulation it isn't easy.
