POBLADO DE ZAFORAS (BOTORRITA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Aquí se ubica la antigua “Contrebia Belaisca”, ciudad celtibérica (según Miguel Beltrán). Tiene foso excavado en la roca madre, para construir la muralla, con una acrópolis dominada por un gran edificio público. La datación comienza en el siglo V a.C. y hasta época visigoda (siglo VII). Las excavaciones de Manuel Pellicer y J. J. Pamplona se remontan a (1957), prosiguiendo después los trabajos Antonio Beltrán en los 70' para incorporarse en los 80' M. Medrano y M. A. Díaz.

Yacimiento cerrado por una alambrada, rota por donde acceden los visitantes.

Botorrita esta a 20 kilómetros de Zaragoza, accediéndose por la A-23.

SETTLEMENT OF ZAFORAS (BOTORRITA)

Here was located the old “Contrebia Belaisca”, a Celtiberian city (according to Miguel Beltrán). Has a moat excavated in the rock, to build the wall, with an acropolis dominated by a large public building. The dating begins in the 5 th century B.C. until the Visigoth period (7 th c.). The excavations of Manuel Pellicer and J.J. Pamplona go back to (1957), followed by the work of Antonio Beltrán in 70's; more later in the 80's also work M. Medrano and M. A. Díaz.

PUEBLO FANTASMA DE BELCHITE

INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA

Tras la Guerra Civil, este pueblo turolense no fue reconstruido, por orden del general Francisco Franco. Siendo todavía a día de hoy testimonio de los durísimos bombardeos. Lo más dramático de todo es que en los bombardeos de (1937) en tan solo 2 semanas murieron 5.000 personas. Los edificios conservados hoy son como esqueletos de dinosaurios desafiando la ley de la gravedad. Es un lugar que atrae a parapsicólogos.

Visitas guiadas, entrada 6 €. Teléfono de la oficina de turismo: 976.830.771. Horario de visita a las 12::00 y a las 16:00; incluso hay visitas nocturnas a las 21:00 (viernes y sábado en invierno) y a las 22:00 (viernes y sábado en verano).

Hay varios caminos para acceder a Belchite desde Zaragoza con la ruta (A-68, N-232 y A-222), desde Madrid por la A-2 hasta La Almunia de Doña Gomina y allí coger la ruta Cariñena – Fuentedetodos – Belchite), desde Cataluña por la AP-2 o la N-II hasta Villafranca de Ebro y allí coger la A-222 hasta Belchite; desde Valencia coger en Sagunto la A-23 a Teruel y en Cariñena la A-220 para Belchite.

BELCHITE PHANTOM TOWN (BELCHITE)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

After the Spanish Civil War, this town of Teruel, remained intact, by order of the general Francisco Franco. Today is still testimony of the very hard bombings. The most dramatic thing is that in the bombing of (1937) in only 2 weeks 5,000 people died. The building preserved today are like skeletons of dinosaurs defying the law of gravity. It is a place that attracts parasychologists.

LOCATION

Podemos ver viviendas con mosaicos, calles enlosadas, el sistema de cloacas, el mercado, las tabernae, etc… La datación comienza en el 44 a.C. con la fundación de la colonia romana, abandonándose en tiempos de Nerón hacia el 68 d.C. El yacimiento dispone de Museo Monográfico.

Yacimiento abierto, acceso sin entrada.

ACCESO

Velilla se ubica entre Zaragoza y Alcañiz. El acceso se realiza por A-221, entre Gelsa y Velilla de Ebro, hay suficiente cartelería.

Pese al empedrado romano, algunos puntos del yacimiento son visitables con silla de ruedas, otros no.

We can contemplate houses with mosics, paved streets, the sewer system, the market, the tabernae etc... The dating begin in 44 BC with the foundation of the Roman colony, being abandoned in the days of Nero towards 68 AD. The site has a Monographic Museum.

LOCATION

Velilla is located between Zaragoza and Alcañiz; access is by A-221, between Gelsa and Velilla de Ebro, there is enough signage.

Fabara fue una ciudad romana llamada Ara Fabia, la cual conserva algunos restos romanos, el más destacado es el mausoleo de Lucio Emilio Lupo, el mausoleo es de planta cuadrangular, con fachada de 4 columnas y frontón.

Fabara se ubica muy cerca de Caspe (96 Km. desde Zaragoza); desde Caspe se toma la carretera a Maella y antes de este pueblo aparece el cartel para Fabara ; el mausoleo se ubica a las afueras de la población a 1 km. del pueblo.

Fabara was a Roman city called Ara Fabia, which preserves some Roman remains, the most outstanding is the mausoleum of Lucio Emilio Lupo, and the mausoleum is quadrangular with façade of 4 columns and pediment.

Fabara is located very close to Caspe (96 Km -59 miles from Zaragoza); from Caspe take the road to Maella and before this town appears the signpost for Fabara; the mausoleum is located on the outskirts of the town at 1 Km (0,62 miles) from the village.
