IGLESIA DE SANTA MARÍA (DAROCA)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El edificio más interesante es la colegiata de Santa María, con elementos que se remontan al siglo XII, el edificio se reedifico en el siglo XVI, la sillería de coro es del siglo XV, la fachada data de los siglos XVI y XVII con elementos renacentistas y barrocos. En el antiguo ábside románico se edifico la capilla de los Sagrados Corporales, data del s. XV.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The nicest building is the collegiate-church of Santa María, with elements dating back to the 12th c, the building was rebuilt in the 16th c, and the choir stalls are from 15th c., the façade dates from the 16th and 17th c. with Renaissance and Baroque elements. In the old Romanesque apse was built the chapel of the Sacred Body, dating from the 15th c.

		IGLESIA DE SAN JUAN (DAROCA) INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA Destacamos en concreto las iglesias de estilo románico, como San Juan y Santo Domingo que fueron iniciadas en el siglo XII en Románico y terminadas en el siglo XIII en estilo mudéjar. En San Juan los arcos polilobulados son de estilo andalusí, y del siglo XVII es la fachada barroca. In San Juan the multifoil arches are of Andalusí style and the Baroque façade date from 17th c. Románica es la iglesia de San Miguel, se inicio en el siglo XII en estilo románico y se concluye en estilo gótico, tiene ábside románico, la fachada tiene el Cristo en Majestad, bóveda de cañón apuntada; con pinturas góticas dentro (impresionantes).

		MURALLAS DE DAROCA INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA Las murallas de Daroca están escondidas entre calles y viviendas; pero las puertas de la ciudad son un buen testimonio de la importancia de estas murallas. Destacamos la Puerta Baja, construida en sillería, tiene 2 fuertes torres cuadradas con almenas y matacanes, tiene un escudo de Carlos V, se data en el s XVI. La Puerta Alta es del s XVI, es de sillería con arco apuntado y escudo. Las murallas culminaban en la alcazaba árabe. HORARIOS-ENTRADA Visita exterior. Sin tickets ni horarios. We highlight the Lower Gate built in ashlar, has 2 strong square towers with battlements and machicolations; has a coat of arms of Carlos V, dates back to the 16 th c. The High Gate is from the 16 th c is made of ashlar masonry with pointed arch and a coat of arms. The walls culminates in the Arabian citadel.
