CASTILLO DE CONSUEGRA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El castillo es de origen árabe, destacando de esta época la torre albarrana, pero su aspecto actual es obra de la Orden de Jerusalén que desde el siglo XII lo gestiono, dispone además de sala capitular, ermita, aljibe cubierto con bóveda de cañón y otros interesantes detalles.

HORARIOS-ENTRADA

Para el castillo y molinos el horario de verano (junio-septiembre) es de 9:00-19:00 (molino) y de lunes a viernes de 10:00-14:00 y 16:30-19:00, sábados y domingos de 10:30-14:30 y 16:30-19:00 (castillo); mientras en invierno el horario es de 9:00-18:00 (molino) y de lunes a viernes de 10:00-14:00 y de 15:30-18:00, sábados y domingos es de 10:30-14:30 y de 15:30-18:00 (castillo), la entrada molino y castillo es de 4€.

CASTLE OF CONSUEGRA

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

TICKETS AND TIMETABLE

For the castle and the mills the summer time (June-September) is from 9 am to 7 (mill) and from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 and from 4,30 to 7, Saturdays and Sundays from 10,30 am to 2,30 and from 4,30 to 7 (castle); while in winter the timetable are from 9 am to 8 (mill) and from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 and from 3,30 to 5. Saturdays and Sundays are from 10,30 to 2,30 and from 3,30 to 3 (castle); ticket for mill and castle is €4.

MOLINOS DE CONSUEGRA

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

Existe un molino visitable, en el que podrás ver un audiovisual explicando el funcionamiento del molino y el trabajo del molinero, es muy interesante. Además Consuegra tiene una presa romana que tiene un espesor de 1,5 metros y una longitud de 800 metros, siendo por tanto la más larga del mundo romano, dispone de aliviadero y de 15 contrafuertes.

There is a visitable mill, in which you can see an audiovisual explaining the operation of the mill and the work of the miller, is very interesting. In addition Consuegra has a Roman dam that has a thickness of 1,5 meters (4.92 ft) and a lenght of 800 meters (2624 ft), being therefore the longest in the Roman world, has a spillway and 15 buttresses.

El horario del molino se coordina con el del castillo. Para la presa romana no hay horarios, no hay entradas.

ACCESO A CONSUEGRA

ACCESO

La presa romana de Consabura se sitúa junto al río Amarguillo a unos 4 Km. de Consuegra, pueblo muy próximo a la N-IV, desde Madridejos se puede acceder fácilmente.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS

El interior del castillo y del molino visitable tiene muchas escaleras que hacen difícil la visita para el usuario de silla de ruedas; tampoco es apta la visita a la presa romana, rodeada de tierras de labor para una silla de ruedas.

ACCESS - CONSUEGRA

LOCATION

The Roman dam of Consabura (lt.) is located next to the river Amarguillo to 4 km (2,48 mi) from Consuegra a town very near to the N-IV, from Madridejos can be easily accessed.

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED

The interior of the castle and the mill has many stairs that make it difficult to visit for wheelchair users; It isn't suitable the visit for Roman dam, surrounded by labor lands for a wheelchair.
