CASTELO (SANTIAGO C.)

El castillo medieval de Santiago do Cacém se data en el siglo XIII, es de sillarejo, dispone de 10 torres altas de planta semicircular, la conservación del castillo es muy buena, conserva aún las almenas.

VISITA : Acceso libre por el exterior.

IGLESIA MATRIZ (SANTIAGO C.)

La iglesia matriz de Santiago do Cacém también se data en el siglo XIII, esta dedicada al apóstol Santiago, fue fundada por los caballeros de la Orden de Santiago, destacan en el interior las tallas del apóstol Santiago luchando contra los moros, el exterior tiene fachada del siglo XVIII pintada en blanco y amarillo.

La iglesia de la Misericordia de Santiago do Cacém, la fachada del templo es de estética barroca, con el típico frontón curvo del siglo XVIII, delante en la plaza se puede contemplar el famoso “pelourinho”.

Las ruinas romanas de Mirobriga, se ubican a las afueras de Santiago do Cacém.

VISITA : Horario de 9:00-12:00 y de 14:00-17:00 (Domingos) y de 9:00-12:00 y de 14:00-17:00 (Martes a Sábado), lunes cerrado.

MIROBRIGA (SANTIAGO DO CACEM)

The Roman ruins of Mirobriga are located on the outskirts of Santiago do Cacem.

VISIT : Opening hours from 9:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:00 (Sundays) and from 9:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:00 (Tuesday to Saturday), closed Monday.

CASTELO MEDIEVAL (SINES)

El castelo de Sines es un castillo de sillarejo, con perfil almenado, dentro se ubica la torre de homenaje, en los muros se pueden contemplar elementos visigóticos del siglo VII, el castillo es reformado en el siglo XIII y en el siglo XV con la conquista cristiana, integrándose en la Orden Militar de Santiago con Alfonso III de Portugal.

ACCESO A SINES-SANTIAGO :

Desde el Norte se puede acceder por la IC33 y A-26, mientras por el sur puedes acceder por la N-120 y la IC4.

ACCESO PARA MINUSVÁLIDOS :

En Santiago do Cacem con silla de ruedas podrás visitar el exterior del castillo, las iglesias y parcialmente y con ayuda el yacimiento de Mirobriga, con respecto a Sines, podrás entrar dentro del Castelo, pero no a la iglesia.

ACCESS TO SINES :

From the North you can access by the IC33 and A-26 while by the South you can access by the N-120 and IC4

ACCESS FOR THE HANDICAPPED :

In Santiago do Cacem with a wheelchair you can visit the outside of the castle, the churches and partially and with help the Mirobriga site, about Sines you can enter in the Castle but not in the church.
