MUSEO ETNOGRÁFICO (RIAÑO)

El Museo Etnográfico de Riaño, es un museo municipal, que expone colecciones del pasado reciente de las gentes que habitaron la Montaña leonesa, aunque también hay piezas arqueológicas (Prehistoria, época romana y Medievo), es un bonito homenaje a los pueblos que desaparecieron por la construcción del embalse de Riaño. En Riaño tenemos la Ermita de Nuestra Señora, horreos y otros atractivos.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The Ethnographic Museum of Riaño, is a municipal museum, that exposes collections of the recnt past of the people who inhabited the Leon Mountain, although there are also archaeological pieces (Prehistory, Roman and Medieval times), it is a beautiful tribute to the towns that disappeared by the construction of the Riamo recervoir. In Riaño we have the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora, raised barns and other attractions.

TORREÓN (BOCA DE HUERGANO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El Torreón de los Tovar (Boca de Huérgano) es un torreón medieval, quizás del siglo XIV, de sillarejo, con 3 plantas, con 15 m. de altura; la construcción se vincula a Alfonso Tellez (nieto bastardo de Alfonso XI). El edificio ha sido restaurado.

TOWER (BOCA DE HUERGANO)

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The tower of Los Tovar (Boca de Huérgano) is a medieval ower, perhaps from 14 th century, of rubblework masonry, with 3 floors, with 15 m height (49,2 ft), the building is linked to Alfonso Tellez (bastard grandson of Alfonso XI). The building has been restored.

IGLESIA (OSEJA DE SAJAMBRE)

La iglesia de la Asunción de Oseja de Sajambre se ubica en un entorno privilegiado, data de mediados del siglo XIX, es de planta de cruz latina, es de sillería y sillarejo, con una alta torre en la fachada

El horario de Misas en invierno (Septiembre-junio) es los festivos a las 13:00.

CHURCH (OSEJA DE SAJAMBRE)

The church of La Asunción (Oseja de Sajambre) is located in a privileged environment, dating from the mid-19 th century, has a Latin cross plan, is ashlar masonry and rubblework masonry, with a high tower on the facade.

ACCESO POR CARRETERA

(BOÑAR-RIAÑO)

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

RIAÑO: El Mejor acceso es por la N-625 desde Arriondas (Asturias) o desde Mansilla de las Mulas (León). El Museo se ubica en el centro del pueblo, detrás del Ayuntamiento, a 150 m. de la gasolinera.

BOCA DE HUÉRGANO: Se ubica muy cerca de Riaño en la carretera de Potes. La torre se ubica a las afueras del pueblo.

OSEJA DE SAJAMBRE: La iglesia se ubica en el centro del pueblo, junto a la N-625, cerca de Riaño.

 

ACCESS BY ROAD

(BOÑAR-RIAÑO)

LOCATION

RIAÑO:The best access is by the N-625 from Arriendas (Asturias) or from Mansilla de las Mulas (León). The museum is located in the center of the town, just behind the City Hall, 150 m. of the oil station.

BOCA DE HUÉRGAMO: It is located very closet o Riaño on the road to Potes. The tower is located on the outskirts of the town.

OSEJA DE SAJAMBRE: The church is located in the center of the town, next to the N-625, near Riaño.
