		CASTILLO DE LOS SARMIENTO (RIBADAVIA) INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA Los condes de Rivadavia construyeron las murallas y el castillo de este pueblo. Dentro podemos admirar una necrópolis de tumbas excavadas en la roca, son tumbas antropoides; por otro lado la muralla conserva 3 de sus 5 puertas. El castillo bajomedieval se data en el siglo XV y la necrópolis en los siglos. IX-XII. The late medieval castle dates to the 15 th century and the necropolis is from 9 th century to 12 th century. 		CASTRO DE SAN CIBRAO DE LAS (SAN AMARO) INFORMACIÓN HISTÓRICO-ARTÍSTICA Conocido con el nombre gallego de “ A Cidade” (La ciudad), debido a sus grandes proporciones. Tiene varias murallas, con un grosor medio de 3 m. y máximo de hasta 6 m.; foso, en el interior junto a la puerta oeste hay un curioso aljibe, tiene calles enlosadas y viviendas circulares. La cronología es del siglo II a.C. al II d.C. El yacimiento fue estudiado ya en los años 20' por el erudito Florentino López Cuevillas, después en los años 40' Cuevillas trabajo con Xaquin Lorenzo. En los años 50' el yacimiento sufrió un fuerte expolio, al usarse la piedra para fabricar grava. ENTRADAS Y HORARIOS Horario de 10:00 a 18:00 de martes a domingo. La entrada cuesta 5 €, con tarifas reducidas para infantes, estudiantes, desempleados, familias numerosas, discapacitados y jubilados. Se puede contratar una visita guiada por un suplemento adicional de 2 €, que dura hora y media.				HILLFORT OF SAN CIBRAO DE LAS (SAN AMARO) HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION Known by the Galician name of “A Cidade” (The city), due to its great proportions. It has several walls, with a thickness between 3 and 6 meters (9.8 ft – 19,6 ft); moat, inside, next to the west door, there is a curious cistern, it has paved streets and circular houses. The chronology is from 2 nd century BC to 2 nd century AD. The site was studied in the 20's by the scholar Florentino López Cuevillas, later in the 40's Cuevillas worked with Xaquin Lorenzo. In the 50's part of the site was destroyed, because was used for to make gravel. TICKETS AND TIMETABLE Opening hours from 10am to 6pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Admission cost € 5, with reduced tickets for children, students, unemployed, large families, disabled and retirees. You can hire a guided tour for an additional € 2 supplement, guide visit last an hour and a half.

IGLESIA DE LA VERACRUZ (CARBALLIÑO)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

La iglesia de la Vera Cruz de Carballiño, es conocida por sus con-vecinos como “la iglesia nueva”, data de mediados del siglo XX (obra del arquitecto Antonio Palacios Ramilo); la torre tiene una altura de 52 metros y se ubica sobre el pórtico de la fachada; el estilo muy ecléctico es la unión de un gran número de influencias (gallegas, inglesas y vienesas).

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The church of Vera Cruz de Carballiño, is known by its neighbors as “La iglesia nueva”, dates from the mid-20 th century (work of architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo); the lower has a heicght of 52 m (170,56 ft) and is located on the portico of the façade; the very eclectic style is the union of a large number of influences (Galician, English and Viennese).

UBICACIÓN DE ENCLAVES:

CARBALLIÑO: Se puede acceder a Carballiño por la N-541 y la AG-54; hay cartelería al menos en la N-541.

RIBADAVIA: Se accede por la A-52 que une Orense con O Porriño, localidad próxima a Vigo, la silueta del castillo se recorta sobre el pueblo, facilitando su acceso.

SAN CIBRAO: Se ubica a 18 Km. de Orense, ocupando terrenos tanto de Punxin, como de San Amaro, a estos pueblos se accede desde Orense por la A-52; accediéndose después por la N-541, donde ya aparece cartelería.

CARBALLIÑO: Carballiño can be accessed by the N-541 and the AG-54; there are signpostes on N-541.

RIBADAVIA: It is accessed by the A-52 that connects Orense with O Porriño, near Vigo, the silhouette is cut over the village, easeling the access.

SAN CIBRAO: It is located 18 Km. (11 miles) from Orense, occuping land of Punxin and San Amaro, these villages are accessed from Orense on the A-52; then accessing the N-541, where a sign already appear.
