Bande: Monumentos y Turismo

BANDE: La localidad de Bande es la capital de la Baja Limia, una comarca limítrofe con Portugal, muy despoblada.

Hay un gran número de yacimientos arqueológicos, desde las mamoas (túmulos megalíticos) como las de Fonte Mariña y Chan, pasando por el campamento romano de Aquis Querquennis y la iglesia visigoda de Santa Comba.

El entorno natural es muy bonito e interesante e invita a conocerlo con rutas de senderismo. En el pueblo hay rutas de senderismo muy interesantes y atractivas. Algunas están señalizadas (carteles y balizas). Destacamos las rutas “Camiño de San Rosendo” y ·Roteiro dos Petos”.

BANDE: The town of Bande is the capital of Baja Limia, a region bordering Portugal, very unpopulated.

There are a large number of archaeological sites, from the mamoas (megalithic burial mounds) such as those of Fonte Mariña and Chan, through the Roman Camp of Aquis Querquennis and the Visigothic church of Santa Comba.

The natural environment is beautiful and interesting, and invite to visit with hiking routes. In the village there are Hiking routes very interesting and amazing. Some routes are marked (signs and beacons). We stand out the routes “Camiño de San Rosendo” and “Roteiro dos Petos”.

Desde la A-52 (Orense-Benavente) podemos acceder por 2 puntos, por la N-540 (OU-540) que conduce a Celanova y Portugal; o bien desde Xinzo de Limia por la OU-301 que conduce a Bande. Después en Bande cogemos la carretera de Portugal.

La iglesia se ubica a la derecha de la N-540, y el campamento a la izquierda. Hay cartelería en la carretera principal OU-540.

Por el Sur puedes acceder desde Portugal (Ponte da Barca y Ponte de Lima).

From the A-52 (Orense-Benavente), we can to access by two ways, by the N-540 (OU-540) that go to Celanova and Portugal, or from Ginzo de Limia by the OU-301 that go to Bande. Then in Bande we take the road to Portugal.

The church is located to the right of the N-540 and the camp to the left. There are signposts on the main road OU-540.

From the South you can access from Portugal (Ponte da Barca y Ponte de Lima).

STA. COMBA: En la localidad hay poco aparcamiento, no es recomendable adentrarse mucho. Hay aparcamiento muy cerca. El aparcamiento es gratuito.

AQUIS QUERQUENNIS: Hay aparcamiento muy cerca del museo. El aparcamiento es gratuito.

Vernur colabora con muchos ayuntamientos en la regulación del tráfico de sus municipios, evitando colapsar algunas zonas, lo que provocaría “Turismofobia”, facilitando a la vez el acceso del visitante tanto al aparcamiento como a los centros históricos.

SANTA COMBA: In the locality there is little parking, it is not recommended to enter too far. There are Parking near the church. Parking is free.

STA. COMBA: La preciosa iglesia visigoda se ubica en el pueblo. Dispone de señalización. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio muy plano.

AQUIS QUERQUENNIS: El campamento romano se ubica junto al rio Limia, en el embalse del Quebrado de las Conchas; el acceso se realiza desde Porto-Quintela.

Muy interesante es el Centro de Interpretación. Dispone de señalización. La visita se desarrolla por un espacio plano.

Vernur recomienda que no olvides llevar calzado cómodo y confortable, ropa acorde al clima, un buen sombrero y no olvides hidratarte.

AQUIS QUERQUENNIS: Pavimento recio y compacto. Es un espacio muy grande (dato a considerar), acceso solo a algunos puntos, el pavimento puede ser irregular. En ocasiones el yacimiento está parcialmente inundado por el pantano.

La tecnología de las sillas de ruedas ha avanzado mucho, cada vez más ligeras, hay modelos plegables, con todo tipo de adaptaciones, trata de conseguir una moderna, incluso hay ciudades donde se pueden alquilar, contacta con nosotros para añadir información.

BANDE: Entre los acontecimientos festivos destacamos la Festa do Pan de Pereira (Bande), de gran fama en Galicia.

Existen varias rutas de senderismo, también tenemos la playa fluvial de Muiños, junto al enclave de Muiños en la OU-1202, y la Fervenza do Grou.

BANDE: Among the festive events we stand out the Festa do Pan of Pereira (Bande), of great fame in Galicia.

There are several hiking trails, we also have the Muiños River Beach, next to the Muiños site on the OU-1202, and the wonderful Fervenza do Grou.

Son escasos los restos del campamento romano de Aquis Querquennis (Baños de Bande), con una ocupación romana de los siglos I y II d.C. Pueden verse restos de la muralla y de 2 puertas; así como, varios barracones, graneros, termas y un valetudinarium (Hospital de campaña). Las excavaciones arqueológicas las dirige Santiago Ferrer.

There are few visible remains of the famous Roman camp of Aquis Querquennis (Baños de Bande), with a Roman occupation of the 1 st and 2 nd centuries AD. You can see remains of the wall and 2 doors; as well as, several barracks, barns, baths and a valetudinarium (Campaign Hospital). Archaeological excavations are directed by Santiago Ferrer.

Se trata de una iglesia en origen visigoda, de la que heredo la planimetría cruciforme, pero el rey Alfonso III la reconstruyo por completo en el siglo IX, de este momento son las bóvedas; mucho más tarde en el siglo XVII, se añadió un porche occidental. La Iglesia se ubicó junto a un manantial a 25 m. de distancia, como ocurre en San Juan de Baños en Palencia.

Originally, it is a Visigothic church, for this temple has the cruciform plan, but King Alfonso II completely rebuilt it in the 9 th century, from this moments are the vaults; much later in the 17 th century a western porch was added.
