PUENTE ROMÁNICO (ALLARIZ)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El puente de Vilanova, sobre el río Arnoia (Allariz), es de estilo románico, dispone de arcos de medio punto, es de sillería de granito, en el centro tiene un apartadero con heráldica de la Edad Moderna, que nos habla de una reforma posterior. El entorno con un bonito bosque es ideal para pasar de manera relajada el día.

The bridge of Vilanova, on the Arnoia River (Allariz), is Romanesque style, it has semicricular arches, it is made of granite ashlar masonry, in the center it had a siding with heraldry of the Modern Age, which tells su about a reform later. The environmet with a beautiful forest is ideal to spend a relaxed day.

CONVENTO DE SANTA CLARA (ALLARIZ)

INFORMACIÓN HISTORICO-ARTÍSTICA

El convento de Santa Clara Allariz, se remonta quizás al siglo XIII; pero un gran incendio en el siglo XVIII supuso la casi total reconstrucción, es un gran complejo, de 3 plantas, construido en sillería, el acceso se realiza por un gran pórtico de arcos de medio punto, coronándose el convento con una gran torre campanario. El claustro barroco de 3.364 metros cuadrados esta considerado el más grande de España; en la iglesia el órgano rococó del siglo XVIII es otro de los elementos más destacados.

Horario de miércoles a sábado de 10:30-13:00 y 17:30-19:00, domingos de 12:00-14:00 y 17:00-19:00.

HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC INFORMATION

The convent of Santa Clara de Allariz, perhaps dates back to the 13 th century; but a great fire in the 18 th century was the almost total reconstruction, is a large complex, 3 floors, built in ashlar masonry, the access is made by a large portico of arches, crowning the convent with a large bell tower. The baroque cloister of 3,364 square meters is considered the largest in Spain; in the church, the rococo organ of the 18 th century is another of the most outstanding elements.

La iglesia de Santiago de Allariz es un templo románico, la fachada norte es del siglo XII, mientras el ábside de la cabecera se remonta al siglo XIII; en el interior la techumbre es de madera, mientras la zona del presbiterio aun conserva la bóveda de cañón y el ábside es de cuarto de esfera. También destacan las iglesias de San Benito, Santa María y las murallas.

The church of Santiado de Allariz is a Romanesque church, the north façade is from the 12 th century, while the apse at the head of the church dates back to the 13 th century; inside the roof is made of wood; while the presbytery area still preserves the barrel vault and the apse is a quarter sphere. Also stand out the churches of San Benito, Santa Maria and the walls.

Con silla de ruedas acceso factible al puente medieval, pero al convento de Santa Clara la visita es limitada. No es factible a la iglesia de Santiago (escalones).
